 2002 Archive

Christmas Fete 2002

This event went very well. A small lighting rig was used in Santa's grotto to create the Northern Lights!

Sadly, no photos were taken.

Jubilee Celebrations 2002

This was the most complicated event I have had to supply for. I have now got even more amplifiers and speakers! It went very well, and a very good day was had by all.

Sadly, no photos were taken.

Family Concert 2002

Held at St. John's Church in Rownhams, this was a wonderful event.

I have been asked to assist Marina, a local artist to paint the Church just like the pictures below.

Although overcast for most of the afternoon, the event was held outside, and a good time was had by all.

Wildern School 2002

Mark Stoves, who used to work at the Gantry, and occasionally helps me with events, asked me to help him PAT test, label, fault-find and repair the lighting and sound system, in the new D.@rt centre. (which stands for Digital Arts) All is going well, and the venue will be open to the public soon. Thanks to the gang - Chris, Rebecca, Anthony, Max, and Dave for helping me in this mammoth task!

A Couple of pics then:

Jubilee May Fayre 2002

Another successful event, despite the rain. Many thanks to Mark for assisting me set up the sound system. He made a wonderful quote to me as we were putting the speakers into his Land Rover,

"Its a village fete Rob, not Wembley Arena!"

S.P.A.M. 2002

S.P.A.M. stands for Sponsored Performing Arts Marathon, and was held on the 22/23 February 2002 at Mountbatten School. It raised funds for The Mountbatten School Romanian appeal - "The Rainbow Circle" It started at 7pm in the Lantern Theatre with Mike Osman and Charlie Dimmock (Both of whom used my Radio Mic!) and performed through-out the night until all the people involved did Hokey-Cokey at 6:15am the next day! I hear we raised over £3,000, a big well done to all invloved!

I performed something called Colour Music, on a screen at the back of the room. The design? why a Circle that changed through all (and more) of the colours in the Rainbow of course!

S.P.A.M. Update..

Colin and many others are currently in Romania, starting to build the Orphanage. I was able to donate some of my older equipment to help equip them with music making facilities!
