The Royal Marechaussee trainigcenter is located at three military barracks and one traininglocation.
Setpoint of the trainingcenter is the Koning Willem III kazerne (King William III Barracks) at Apeldoorn; here all NCO's are being trained. Every NCO starts with a short-term contract which can be extended after several years in an indefenite contract. Also the career and specialties training take place here.
In 2001 at the Royal Military Academy at Breda the first pupils of the KMar will start the especially for the KMar established military training course for officers-candidates KMar; The policetraining however will still take place at Apeldoorn.
At Apeldoorn we find the following schools:

2. School of Career and Supplementary Courses

a. Detectiveschool KMar
b. Trafficschool KMar
c. Career and specialtraining school
d. Physical Fitness and sportsschool
e. School for Public Order, firearms and Riot Control

At Vught, a small city close to s' Hertogenbosch, in the south of the Netherlands, at the Frederikbarracks since january 2001 a dependance of the NCO trainingcenter has been operating.
The marechaussee-security personell (familiar as Her Majesty's palaisguard and the High-Risk flight security at Schiphol airport) are being trained at the Detmersbarracks at Eefde, close to Deventer.
For the KMar personell at the Aviation District, from the airline companies and security services who are all working at Schiphol Airport, a "School-Luchtvaart" (Aviation School) at Schiphol-Oost is the esspecialy formed to fullfill the needs at the biggest KMar district. |
