Welcome to the Home of the Midwest School of the Civilian
Welcome!  Hopefully if you've found this site, you're interested in living history correctly.  What we're doing is hosting a "school of the civilian", much like the "schools of the soldier" that the military hosts.  This is not a classroom lecture setting where we'll be picking apart fashion, material culture, or other topics that are often covered in Reenactor Conferences.  What the goal here is to create a "school" in where living historians of an authentic mindset convene in order to hit the ground running at immersion events.

This is not just for women either!  Many of the skills we're learning will apply to both genders, and we also have some specialized lessons for the men.  There have been more men living historians leaving their accoutraments behind and donning civilian wear and taking up civilian occupations.  We definately welcome their presence.

We'll be working on first person skills, character development, cooking with what you carry rather than the "camp pot" method that has been employed, and some other topics TBD.

Please check back, as we will be posting the schedule for the event here, and other useful information.  Below is the pertinent information that we have so far.
