SWORDFIZZ
Swordfizz is the annual Hacking Contest Organised
by Network Security Forum during APOGEE with the aim of encouraging
the use of hacking as a methodology to learn and subsequently develop good
programming skills concepts of networking and cryptography and
familiarize with issues in computer security. This year, It will comprise of
2 or 3 challenging and mind-boggling levels testing a variety of
hacking and coding skills of the participants ranging from something as
simple as shell password cracking and OS Fingerprinting up to as
complex as Buffer exploits and Shell codes with each successive level
increasing both in complexity as well as Difficulty . To Supplement the
event A Hacking workshop will also be organized so as to give the
participants a feel of hacking methodologies.
Rules and Regulations
1) Any number of teams from a college with
not more than two participants per team.
2) Contest will be held in 3 rounds. Teams
qualifying certain cut-off score in a round will advance to the
next-round.
3) In The final round, the team having
cracked the most levels/sub-levels/problems will be declared the winner.
4) The
Contest is Open-Book. :)
5) In case of any dispute or discontent,
the decision of the forum will be final and binding.
