Right: Me and my 2001 Bandit 1200S. The bike had a Yoshimura RS-1 stainless steel slip-on, K&N pod filters, and a jet kit. The bike was fast and fun to ride. In addition, it was very comfortable as long as I didn't stay out in the highway too long. Wind protection was not one of the bike's strongest point. Because of this, I ended up replacing the stock windshield with a Givi Touring windshield. It sure was a big shield but it did its job of protecting the rider from the wind.
Above: This is my favorite pic of my '01 Bandit 1200S. I will always remember my Bandit with fondness. This bike has been sadly overlooked by many in its final years in North American market. However, it is one of the best all around motorcycles available because it was able to do it all well, while giving its owner tremendous value. My particular bike was fast as hell too! With only slight mods to the motor, the ex-GSXR1100 engine would wake up and make some serious power.

Right: The Bandit was a great commuter bike because of its comfortable riding position. In addition, it handled twisities nearly as good as the Hayabusa and other sportbikes. I will miss her.
