The MOMS Club is a support group just for you, the mother-at-home of today, interested in the world around you, wanting a variety of activities for you and your children, and proud of your choice of at-home mothering for your family!
Every member is welcome to come to any of the planned activities. There are no requirements for attending our activities and you can attend as little or as much as you'd like. All of our meetings and all but one of our activities (MOMS Night Out) are during the day, when at-home mothers need the support most. We believe that being a mother shouldn't isolate you, so you may bring your children with you to anything we do!
Internationally, the MOMS Club has 2,000 chapters and 100,000 members! We are the only national support group specifically for all at-home mothers, and we'd like to have you as a member, too!
Our MOMS Club chapter includes the following activities:

Monthly
Meetings
We meet once monthly for our business meeting. Usually any business is done at the beginning, followed by a speaker,
discussion or holiday party. We have a play area for the children, or they
can stay with mom in the meeting room.
Field
Trips
Periodically we schedule a field trip to a local place of interest. We
try to accommodate all ages of children whenever possible. Some field trips
are free but some may include an entrance fee or cover charge. All field
trips are a lot of fun! Any member is welcome to suggest or arrange a field
trip - just make your suggestion to the Activity Coordinator first.
MOMS
Night Out
Once a month we get
together at a restaurant, the movies, a member's house, or wherever we decide,
to chat and unwind. It is very informal and a great way to get to know each
other better. A different member coordinates this every month so we get
a variety of activities. If you are interested in planning a MOMS Night
Out please contact the President. We also do a Family Day once every few
months (a weekend activity the whole family can enjoy, such as a weekend BBQ
or park day).
Caring
MOMS
We ask periodically for volunteers to provide a meal or run an errand
for another member who has just had a baby, is recovering from an operation,
dealing with the loss of a loved one, or other major family event. There
are many times when we need some help or support and do not always want
to ask for it. Through Caring MOMS, we can all be there for each other in
good times and bad. If you are in need of some help or know of another mom
who is, please contact the Caring MOMS Coordinator.
Newsletter
Our newsletter is published every month and can be picked up at the
monthly meeting or emailed to you. It includes a letter from the president
as well as other club news. Our monthly activity calendar is sent out
with the newsletter as well. Our activity calendar includes fun weekly
activities for you and your children to participate in. Each
member of our chapter gets a turn once per year (with the help of one or two
other members) to plan a month of activities. It's a lot of fun and
gives us a great variety of events.
Playgroups
We currently have several playgroups and they are based on children's
ages. Moms
with siblings that fall into two separate groups may choose a playgroup
for one child or both. Playgroups generally meet once per week or every
other week. Moms within
each group will rotate hosting the playgroup at their homes. The
size of each group varies but should be kept fairly small, 6 moms or less
is ideal.
Nobody can be excluded from a playgroup but if groups get too large, they
can be split into smaller groups. If any problems arise concerning your
playgroup, talk to the playgroup coordinator. You can be in more than one
playgroup, if desired.
Service
Projects
To keep our non-profit status, we are obligated to do one service project
(fundraiser) that benefits children each year. After that, we usually do more
service projects if the club agrees. Ideas for service projects should be
given to the Administrative Vice President. As moms who are fortunate enough
to stay at home with our children and give them the best we can, it is good
to reach out to our community and beyond to help those who are less fortunate.
Executive
Board/Board Meetings
You may notice on our calendar that we have monthly board meetings. Each
MOMS Club Chapter has an Executive Board comprised of the President, Administrative
Vice President, Membership Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. All
positions are held for a one-year term from July to June.
We
hope you get a lot of enjoyment and all the support you need from our club.
