Roger Taylor is producing a two volume percussion tutorage video set entitled "Batter them to death". Volume one of the set, "Practise to play without practise", deals with the 'Zen' of being a percussionist; the ins and outs of being a session drummer; how to stay focused during a drum solo; most importantly, to break with tradition, practise less and party more. Volume 2, "It's time to Rock'n'Roll" sees Roger seated behind a massive percussive ensemble. He will guide the viewer through the many different rhythm patterns that appear through a selection of his own compositions. "I hope its not too hard for the novices" worries Roger, "I do some really complex stuff in it, 2/4 time and such, but I think most people should do ok though, my drumming’s a bit rusty [laugh]".

Unconfirmed reports are spreading about Queen being asked to duet with pop heart throbs 5ive. It's reported that when asked by 5ive's chief music producers, Freddie could be heard laughing so loudly that it reverberated throughout the 10 story London business premises that the meeting took place in. When the producers insisted that it wasn’t a joke, John Deacon, bass player of Queen, took it upon himself to act as bouncer and turf the two out on the street.

"We were so thrilled when we found out from our manager that we were doing a duet with this legend of Rock". Richard Neville (Ritchie) from 5ive raves. A beaming Roger interrupts, "Hey hey go easy with the legend description, sonny, I aint no grandfather yet you know!". These comments are taken from a recent MTV UK interview 5ive and Taylor gave to promote their new single, a rerecording of one of Rogers hits "Nazi's 94" now retitled to "Kidz gonna rock you!". On the name change Roger had this to say, "A lot of things have happened in six years; neo-nazi's don't really exist anymore and anyway, they were never that tough; they looked pathetic, like cancer patients running trough the street or something. We have worse worries to deal with today anyway.... paedophiles, child bummers, Garry Glitters etc. and basically that’s what the song is all about." Sean Conlon from 5ive then piped up "Yeah we can really see where Roger was goin' with this one, I mean da dude's always been a radical, an anarchist, a rasta, when it came to polatics... but it was something totally new for us to do. Sure its a risk yeah? but I think we respect the other band members more now because of this; man, now I can't neva see us ever breakin’ up!"

5ive have broken up.

Roger Taylor has promised to be special guest drummer at selected concerts in the upcoming Garry Glitter tour of Great Britain.

Queen have finished their 3 night run with the London Symphony Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall, performing Freddie Mercury’s choral opus "Bohemian Rhapsody". The piece which was spawned from the original song, keeps the themes from the original but develops them much further. "Well as I see it" Freddie explains "The original now seems more of a demo track for this work I've completed. I was too used to the way Queen sounded at the time, our simplicity actually clouded my vision. Now that we've moved on as a group I see what it should have sounded like... oh well, it's finished now anyway, more champagne Brian!". Tomorrow night, the London Symphony Orchestra will be playing again in the Albert Hall, this time with Deep Purple. They will be performing Jon Lords: Concerto for Group and Orchestra.
