Set on 63 acres. Visitors will find woodland and swamp environments, as well as a pond. There are several ecology trails, a swamp walk, library and greenhouse. No charge for admission.
Directions:
Merritt Parkway - Take Exit 35 and follow High Ridge Road (Route 137) north for 1 1/2 miles to Brookdale Road.
I-95 - Take Exit 7 and follow Route 137 north to Brookdale Road.

The entrance for the Beach is on the right, we will meet at the wooden playground.

Merritt Parkway SOUTH (RT.15): Get off exit 34 Long Ridge Road. Turn right onto Long Ridge Road for about 3 miles to Cold Springy Road. Follow the same directions for Merit Parkway North.

I-95 SOUTH: Get off at exit 9 East Main Street. Make a left onto East Main Street and then right onto Weed Avenue to Cove Island Park.

Cranbury Park

Cranbury Park offers 190 acres of open fields, woodland groves, and a wealth of recreational activities. It is also home to the former Gallaher Mansion, built in 1930 and acquired by the City of Norwalk in 1965

From Route 7 going North
In Approximately 2 miles north of the Merritt Parkway is Kennesett Avenue. Before you get to Kennesett, you will pass Motor Vehicles, the old Caldor Shopping Center, and the Gateway Shopping Center. Take a right onto Kennesett which will be the first right you can take after the Gateway Shopping Center. A Friendly's has been at this corner for years.
In approximately 1/2 mile, Kennesett ends at an intersection with Grumman. Continue straight into the parking lot.

FROM NEW HAVEN:
Merritt Parkway SOUTH (RT. 15): Get off exit 34 Long Ridge Road. Turn right off ramp onto Long Ridge Road for about 3 miles to Cold Spring Road, turn right and continue for 1.5 miles. Cold Spring -Road becomes Washington Blvd. Make a left onto Tresser Blvd., and then a right onto Elm Street. Follow Elm Street to Shippan Avenue. Once on Shippan Avenue you will see Cummings Park on the left side (past People's Bank and the Fire Dept.)
I-95 SOUTH: Get off exit 8. Make a left onto Elm Street; follow Elm Street to Shippan Avenue, bear to the right on Shippan Avenue and Cummings Park will be on the left side (past People's Bank and the Fire Dept.).
FROM NEW YORK:
Merritt Parkway NORTH (RT.15): Take exit 35 High Ridge Road. Turn right off ramp onto High Ridge Road for about 3 miles to Cold Spring Road. Turn right onto Cold Spring Road for about 1.5 miles until lit becomes Washington Blvd., make a left on Tresser Blvd. To Elm Street. Make a right on Elm Street and bear right onto Shippan Avenue. Follow Shippan Avenue and Cummings Park will be on the left side (past People's Bank and the Fire Dept.).

Stay straight to go onto DEN RD.

Turn SLIGHT LEFT onto RIVERBANK RD.
Stay straight to go onto WESTOVER RD.
Turn right onto MERRIEBROOK LANE.

Take Exit 18 off of Interstate 95.
Take a right at the stop light at the end of the exit ramp.
Continue to drive all the way towards the coast which will take you to the
entrance of the park. We will park in the left-most lot towards the beach
walkway.

Take Exit 5 off of Interstate 95.
Take a right at the stop light at the end of the exit ramp to get on the Post Road, Route 1 going east.
In about 1/4 mile, take a right at the first stop light to get on Sound Beach Avenue.
In about 1/2 mile, take a right around a rotary and continue into Old Greenwich.
About 1 mile after you pass under the train tracks in Old Greenwich, take a right at the Yield sign to continue on Shore Road. Continue on Shore Road, until you pass the park's gate house.

Take Exit 3 (Merritt Pkwy/CT Rt 15/New York City) onto the Merritt Parkway South
Take the Merritt Parkway to Exit 37
At the end of the ramp, turn left onto South Avenue (Rt 124 North)
After 1/4 mile, turn left into Waveny Park
