Chapter 14
Marshmallow Pies
Hurray! JoJo shouted from where he was sitting on the huge cookie. Food at last!
I could use some brekky myself, Paul grinned as he scooped up a handful of marshmallow pie and stuff it into his mouth.
Rita examined the contents of her sandwich and finding it to be tomato, lettuce, cheese, and mayonnaise, she gladly took a bite.
Pam slid into the soup bowl, protected by a silver spoon and began eating gladly. When they had eaten their fill, the took time to look around themselves. Food of all kinds stretched on and on.
Well, what now? Rita wondered as they strolled across a spinach pizza.
           Im thirsty, JoJo complained.
Look! Pam noticed. Theres a huge bottle of Coca-Cola!
After reviving themselves with coke, they continued on. Look at that huge ice cream sandwich! JoJo exclaimed from where he had climbed up on top of a burrito for a better view. For the first time he seemed to be enjoying himself.
Surely you arent still hungry, Pam said, rubbing her stomach. You sure eat a lot for such a little guy.
JoJo ignored her comment. Rita knew he hated people drawing attention to the fact that he was so short and skinny.
Weve got to check out this ice cream sandwich, JoJo insisted. So, they followed him over to it and watched as he began indulging in the sweet treat.
This food all looks so good, I wish I had more room for it, Pam sighed wistfully.
Hey look, Paul said. Theres a big gate on the backside of this ice cream sandwich. Maybe it will take us to our next sea.
JoJo groaned. I could LIVE in this sea, he told them. Go away. Leave me alone. Dont bother me.
Rita walked around to where Paul was on saw a huge gate that looked like it was made out of solid pearls. Can you open it? she asked.
Ive been trying, Paul told her. It just wont budge!
Wait, what does it say up there? asked Pam as she pointed to some letters at the top of the gate.
Just Say the Word, Rita read, straining to see the small letters.
The word? Wonder what the word is, Pam said.
Love of course, Paul answered smoothly. Love! The gate swung open wide.
Come on, JoJo! Pam called. JoJo followed reluctantly with a handful of ice cream.
