Isabel's Dream

Copyright 2003 Robin Miller

Isabel came and went
quietly in the middle of the night.
The tide a day later would rise
to wash the debris away.

Remnents seem so far away
of her calling
only a reminder of her
former self.
Recalled in a silent storm
out in the ocean
where her spirit
soared and met the
skies in tremendous fury
hath scorned not
but a message sent
to the gods of her
goddess strength.

Fury not minded so much
when she yielded not
to her man's dreams
and held out for her
true lover
scorned not and forever together
in her dreams the hands touch her gently in the night.
