Don't You Know

Don't you know that this morning I cried
as I ran.
I felt rage at you
with your homophobic comments and your anger and hate.
I told you that I never bothered you and you came at me
fists clenched
face contorted.
You talk about god all the time
god this and god that
but you hate.
I don't know the name of your god
but if your god professes hated and anger
I want no part of it.
