| 6-27-05 Happy Fathers Day!
Happy Fathers Day RHMJR! RHMIII ordered custom Coronet R/T floor mats as a surprise present. The black and red color scheme will compliment the finished interior nicely. Click Image to See More of the Mats. |
| 7/8/05 - 7/11/05 Seat Covers Arrive and Are Installed RHMJR was delighted when the Legendary Interiors delivered his seat covers. We were anticipating another 3-4 week wait while the national backorder was filled. We estimate that our order was placed just after Legendary ran out of inventory, so when the supplies arrived we were one of the first to receive our shipment. We are not complaining! | 6/23/05 - Interior Headliner Install Begins & Seat Cover Back Order RHMJR recently took a trip out to the project site to find Dennis installing the headliner in the interior. The headliner was ordered from Legendary Interiors and is black. He was busy carefully measuring the cut we need to fit our car. In addition care is being taken to locate the correct spot to create the hole that the headlamp will fit into. The project has slowed somewhat due to the fact that Legendary Interiors has a national back order on 68 B-Body seat covers. The next step is to recover the seats however we are waiting for the materials. It could be anywhere from 4-7 weeks until they arrive. After they are recovered, the carpet will be installed and the seats will once again rejoin the car. 6 |
| 8/28/05 - SUNBURST MOPAR SHOW AND SWAP MEET. Graham Washington
The whole family got into MOPARS this day! RHMJr and wife Barbara were up in Seattle visiting with RHM3, Shannon and RHM IV. It was a great day, spent with great people and great cars. The Sunburst show is held by the south Puget Sound chapter of Mopars Unlimited. There were over 300 cars at this show. There were about 7 true HEMI cars on display and many 440 Magnum cars as well. There was ample horsepower to go around. As always it was wonderful to look at classic MOPAR muscle, but also to take in some of the more modern and older Chrysler automotive accomplishments. | Project Notes: 7/11/05 Tthe door rubber and the new rubber seal that goes on the front window trailing edge was installed. Additionally, on the 18th RHMJr was able to source the seat back panels we need from Advanced Auto Restorations in Huffman TX. If you are looking for 68-69 B-Body seat backs or a complete restoration of your classic, give Patty a call at 281-324-7284. We were very pleased to have met Patty along our restoration journey and are very thankful for her help in locating this part! 7/25/05 The wheel jack that we found was sand blasted. The next step for this part will be to paint it and to put it into the car. 7/31/05 Our long awaited reproduction door panels have arrived! Actually there are 4 of them. 2 for the doors and 2 for the walls left and right next to the rear seats! It appears that all of the pieces we need to complete the interior are in. We will be working hard to get it finished up in the days to come. |
