2005 Progress # 4
5/12/05 Carburetor Parts arrive from a 5/8/05 order.

After many close inspections of our intake and carb. situation, it was decided to replace the entire carbureation system. On 5/8/05 RHMJr ordered the following parts to fix the linkage the problem.

1) Edelbrock Performer Carburetor, EDL-1411: 750 CFM electric choke
2) Edelbrock Throttle Lever Adapter, EDL 1481: Chrysler universal fit, accepts cruise control
3) Lokar Hi-Teck Chrysler 727 kickdown kit, KD-2727HT
4) Lokar Throttle Cable Bracket and Springs for KD 272HT kickdownkit

On 5-12-05 all parts were received. We now have the correct carburetor for our CH4B intake. From 5-12- to 5-23 these items were installed on the car. Additionally the back up lights wiring harness was connected to the transmission and the bulkhead wiring connector.

5/26/05  The Engine is Started!

With the carburetor and linkage now on the engine, on 5-26-05 the engine was started for the first time since its disconnection  and removed over a year ago. RHMJR describes the event like this; " I about let out a cheer when it started! You should have heard the rumble it made with just the headers on it.I'm seriously thinking about not putting on the rest of the exhaust system it sounded so good." Of course he was kidding!
