WILLIAM established his Studio, United Photo Studio on S. Main St., Scranton,PA. Which he owned until fire detroyed it early 1930. WILLIAM  was Naturalized a USA Citizen on 9 Sept 1920. WILLIAM  was very active in the community and was know/ as a very honest man in the private and business community. He was a 32deg Mason and a member of Hyde Park Masonic Lodge. The KEMPSELL'S were members of St. Davids Episcopal Church. WILLIAM  died 29 Dec 1930. JULIA died 28 Feb 1935. Both are buried at Washburn St. Cemetery, Scranton along side of their daughter Ivy Lillian. Ivy died 23 Oct 1916.
      George John Kempsell was married 17 Oct 1930 at St. Luke's Church, Wyoming Ave, Scranton,PA. to Marion Louise Long b/14 Mar 1906 Scranton,Lack,PA. Daughter of William & Margaret Davis Long. George & Marion had two children: George John,Jr. b/22 Jan 1934-d/22 Nov 1995. and Marilynn Louise b/25 Aug 1936. George Sr. was later married on August 1955  to Jeanette Reske b/29 May 1911 Chicago,Cook,IL. d/31 July 1997 Batesville,AK. George died 14 Feb 1980 at Houston,TX. Both George and Jeanette are buried at St. Joe Mausoleum, Chicago,IL.
 

















     EDMUND WILLIAM KEMPSELL spent time working with his father at the Studio until the beginning of World War 1. EDMUND enlisted in the US Army Dec 1917. He was sent to Fort Dix,NJ. for basic training. On completion received orders to Waco,TX and San Antonio,TX. for duty as a Photographer. He served in the US Army honorably until his discharged Dec 1918. While station at San Antonio he became a Naturalized Citizen 12 June 1918. After his discharge EDMUND returned to Scranton,PA. Working for his father and other studio' in the Scranton area. While working at a studio in Peckville,Lack,PA he met his wife to be: LORINDA ERMINA JONES, daughter of JOHN FRANKLIN & BLANCH E. HARDING JONES. LORINDA was born at Peckville,Lack,PA on 12 Dec 1895. EDMUND & LORINDA were married at her home in Peckville,PA on 27 April 1921. They moved to Monrose,Susq,PA where EDMUND had a Studio. Later they moved to Dickson City,Lack,PA where they started their family. Son William Edmund b/8 Jan 1922- d/12 May 1922, Daughter Dorothy b/23 Mar 1923-d/23 Mar 1923. Daughter Blanch Elizabeth b/18 June 1925. In 1928 the family moved to Lake Winola,Wyo,PA. where they had three more children:Son- John Edmund b/10 Apr 1930-d/5 May 1934,-ROBERT ALLEN b/ 4 Jan 1935 and Daughter Ruth-Ann b/ 27 Oct 1937. All the deceased KEMPSELL children are buried at Prospect Hill Cemetery Peckville,Lack,PA.






 







     EDMUND & LORINDA owned a Photograph Studio at Tunkhannock,Wyo,PA. The Studio was lost during the Depression. EDMUND then went to work for the PA State Highway Dept as a Draftmen and served as the Justice of the Peace for Overfield Twp,Wyo, PA. In 1940 the KEMPSELL'S moved to Factoryville,Wyo,PA where EDMUND worked with the WPA paving the roads in Factoryville. In 1941 he took a job with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a Civil Engineering Aid. He retired from the Corps August 1966. EDMUND was a member of Hiram Masonic Lodge, Scranton,Lack,PA and the American Legion. EDMUND d/ 3 Dec 1967 at Baltimore,MD. LORINDA d/ 23 Dec 1975 at Havre de Grace,Harf,MD. Both EDMUND & LORINDA are buried at Baltimore National Cemetery.
      ROBERT ALLEN KEMPSELL, after graduating from Factoryville H.S., enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served 21 years. While station at Washington,DC he met his wife to be FANNIE SUE LOVELESS b/ 13 July 1942,Whitmen,WV. to John & Lettie Mays Loveless.
ROBERT & FANNIE were married 29 July 1961 at Arlington,VA. The family moved to Camp Springs ,MD where they started their family: Robert Allen Jr.-Elizabeth Ann-William Michael and Tara Lynne. ROBERT retired from the USN 4 Nov 1974 and went to work for Crown Cork & Seal as a Industrial Electrician. Where he retired 13 June 1997. ROBERT is a member of the FRA,AL,VFW,DAV and Mt. Ararat Masonic Lodge #44, Harford Chapter Order of the Eastern Star  and the Tall Cedar of Lebanon.
