The Israeli Mole
Episode 5

It was the worst exemption in the history of the first Israeli season. One member sold out, and Doron, Doron of all people, left the game.

The six remaining members are in shock. A shock, because Doron was the most dominant member of the team, Doron was the force uniting the different types of people in the team, and above all that, Doron, who was the most likable member, was the main suspect of being the mole.

The void left after Doron’s departure, will be filled temporarily by the family members and friends of the contestants, who come to visit them for the first time. To visit, and check if these are the same people they knew before.

Among the guests, without even knowing they are, there will be the guests of...

THE MOLE

Day 9
The group is in the Akko harbor. To ease the depression from losing Doron, they are being told for the first time, what will happen in the episode. They are told that they’ll have visits of family and friends.
Zehava: "You get it? Today we’ll get to see the kids, the husband."
Oded (cynically): "Wow, Zehava, I really miss your kids."
Zehava: "You’re gonna see me as a mother now, not as Zehava."
What the six don’t know is that their families and friends will see them a little differently than they are used to. Itai explains the first challenge:
Each of the contestants will have to throw a dice. If the number is 1-3, they’ll be given an easy task. If it’s larger than 3, a hard one. In order to achieve success in the mission, four tasks must be done. This means that one of the people can decide not to do his/her task. The mission, if I’m not mistaken, is worth 12000 shekels.
Oded goes first. He meets with Itai at the center of a castle yard. His missions are as follows: Small number: dying his hair to blond. Large number: Shaving his head completely. Oded scores a small number.
Oded: "Maybe I’m better off being bold."
Sharon’s easy task is to be with one arm in cast for a whole day. Her hard task is to have both arms in cast for a day. She scores four.
Sharon: "Don’t I get an exemption or something if I don’t do it?"
It’s Israel’s turn. Itai tells him that if he scores a low number his mission is to paint a nude model. If he scores a high number, he is the model. Israel scores 2.
Israel (in English): "Am I good or am I good?"
Itai: "Your mission is to paint a nude model. Do you take it or not?"
Israel: "Sure I take it! Where is she?"
Israel passes by the camera crew.
Israel: "Excuse me, I have a mission at hand. I don’t have time to talk to anyone!"
Israel goes to a room where the naked model and a painter are waiting for him. The next task should be done by Zehava. She laughs hysterically as Itai tells her that her easy mission is to have her bellybutton pierced. Her hard task is to have her eyebrow pierced. Her result is four. She doesn’t seem like she wants to do it.
Itai: "Take your time. Think about it. You’re tied with the group and the group is tied with you."
Zehava: "Piercing in my eyebrow?!"
Zehava gets over the shock at some point and goes to the piercing guy. She has a conversation with him about her feelings concerning the piercing, and tells him that her husband should visit her today.
Dana is next. Her easy task is to paint her face. The hard one is to do a tattoo. She scores a five. She’s a little shocked first, but seconds later she suddenly has no problem doing it.
Dana: "Ok, no problem, lets do it."
She picks an image of Jesus nailed to a cross, to be put on her back.
As the tattoo guy gets ready to do the deed, Dana starts investigating the camera crew.
Dana: "I really wanna know if I’m the only one who said yes."
Crewman: "I don’t know."
Dana: "There isn’t "I don’t know". The whole game is "I don’t know" and "I don’t know" and "I don’t know". Am I the only one who agreed? Because he told me I was the first one. I’m one before last. I’m sure that Sigi won’t do a tattoo."
Sigi, the final member, can do a part of the missions, all of them, or choose not to do even one. Her tasks are: 1. Have her head shaved. 2. Walk all day with her arms in a cast. 3. Have her eyebrow pierced. 4. Pose nude for a painting. 5. Permanent tattoo.

In the meantime, Dana already has purple lines in the shape of Jesus Christ on her back. As the tattoo guy is about to continue she suddenly shout: "No, Wait!"
Sigi, who is still considering the missions, decides not to take any of the missions.
Itai and Sigi wait at a table in a balcony for the others to return. Itai notices that Zehava is returning and asks Sigi if she thinks Zehava pierced her eyebrow. Sigi said she didn’t. She is wrong. Zehava approaches her with her left eyebrow pierced.
Sigi: "Didn’t you say you’re a teacher in a religious school? I don’t know you, Zehava. Isn’t your husband coming today?"
Sharon shows up with her arms in cast. Israel finishes up the painting. Dana, who has a tattoo on her back, waits for Oded. As she sees him she starts laughing hysterically.
Dana: "You’re sick. What have you done to your hair?"
Oded enters the frame with a VERY light shade of blond hair.
Oded: "It was either this or that" (pointing at Dana’s bald head).
Dana and Oded join the rest of the group. They all laugh hysterically as they see Oded.
Itai: "By the way, it doesn’t come off."
Only one person is needed for the next mission. Someone with observation skills. In order to pick that person they play the memory game. They have pictures turned upside down on the table, and they have to find the matches. The pictures are of themselves and the four other departed members. Some of the pictures are group shots. While the six play the game and bring up old memories, their families and friends are waiting. The mission of the winning member in the memory game will be to match each member with the right family members and friends.
Zehava’s visitors: Husband and two of the daughters.
Sharon’s visitors: Two friends. (man and woman)
Dana’s visitors: Parents.
Sigi’s visitors: Two female friends.
Oded’s visitors: Brothers and girlfriend.
Israel’s visitor: Son.
Israel wins. He is sitting in a room with Itai. In front of them there is a TV that shows all of the visitors seating together. The mission is worth 8000 shekels. One mistake on Israel’s side and the mission is a failure. Plus: The number of mistakes will also impact the group’s next mission. The rest of the contestants are watching Israel and Itai live in their room.
Israel guesses that the two girls are Zehava’s. He asks the camera man to go right and focus on a bald man eating a cheese cake. It’s Zehava’s husband.
Israel: "That’s it!"
The contestants laugh as the camera is focused on Zehava’s husband.
Israel: "That’s it, this is Moshik!"
Itai: "Who’s Moshik?"
Flashback from Zehava’s snepling. Zehava is scared out of her mind. Zehava: "Moshik, I’m so sorry!"
Itai: "Who’s Moshik?"
Israel: "Moshik is Zehava’s husband, undoubtedly. He has an appetite and he just came here from the Moshav. On Moshik’s left, I presume, is Dana’s mother."
Dana: "Damn, he’s great! Cool!"
Israel than finds Dana’s father, and makes the final decision that him and the woman has just spotted are Dana’s parents. He’s right again. Israel than focuses on two girls, trying to find Oded’s girlfriend. One of them is eating a cake, the other one is chatting with Dana’s dad. Israel seems VERY interested in the one eating the cake. He decides that Oded has the same fine taste as he does, and pairs up that girl with Oded. Israel might have a fantastic taste, but he is wrong. It was Sharon’s friend. Oded’s girlfriend is the other girl. The one talking to Dana’s dad. Israel, however, decide that Oded’s real girlfriend, is actually Sigi’s friend.
Israel takes a look at Sigi’s real friends. He decides that one of them is Sigi’s friend and that the other one is Sharon’s friend. Israel continues to make mistakes, putting Sharon’s male friend as Oded’s brother, and Oded’s brother as Sharon’s friend. By the way, he did manage to recognize his own kid.
Itai starts inviting people into the room to meet their families. Dana is first, Zehava is second. It now seems to Israel as if he was on the right track. Sigi enters the room and hugs her friend. Israel understands he was wrong when she hugs her other friend, the one he picked for Sharon.
Israel: "She could have gotten along with the other one also."
Oded enters the room. Israel sees that he guessed his brother wrong, but he’s more concerned about guessing the girlfriend wrong. Oded tells his girlfriend and brother that Israel didn’t guess any of them right. They are both surprised by it. The girlfriend says she doesn’t like Israel already.
Sharon enters the room. Itai and Israel are commenting about how quickly Sharon and Oded’s girlfriend hit it off. The mission is a failure, but now at least the contestants can have the assistance of their families and friends in finding the mole. Each contestant with his family and friends, goes through an interview:

Sharon’s male friend says that he and the other friend tried to think if it’s possible that Sharon is the mole from the moment they started driving up to where the set is. Their conclusion was that they simply do not have a clue.
Dana’s parents say that Dana is certainly not innocent, and that she is a good actress.
Oded’s brother: "It’s not Dana, and it’s not... What’s her name? The Shas member." Oded: "Zehava."
Zehava (to her daughter): "Is mommy a mole?" Daughter: "No." Zehava: "There you have it." Moshik: "No, I don’t think she’s the mole." (at this point Zehava fixes Moshik’s error. He said Chafarferet, and not ChafarPeret, which means mole)
Sigi’s friends have a little discussion.
Friend 1: "I have no doubt in my mind that Sigi is the mole. No one else seems suspicious. Sigi is the mole and that’s it."
Friend 2: "From what I know of Sigi, everything about her is opposite on opposite on opposite. It’s like: She’s the mole for sure for sure for sure… not for sure."
Flashback: Sigi refuses to take any of the dice missions, saying she is certain she’ll be one of the only one who’ll do it anyway.
Friend 2: "Look, she might have done it because she’s the mole, and she has to fail the team, but, it could be that she wants to look like a mole, so she would fail the group in very obvious ways."
They keep arguing. Friend 1 says that she understand not doing missions like the tattoo or the blond hair, but it’s dumb not to do easy missions like wearing a cast on the arm, because this way it will look like a deliberate attempt by someone who’s not even tries to act like a mole. And the mole’s mission is to act as if he/she is not the mole.
Israel’s son: "I think it’s Elad." Israel: "We don’t have an Elad here". Israel’s son: "I mean Oded." Israel: "The blond guy?" Israel’s son: "Yeah, the one with the long hair."
Oded’s brother: "I don’t think it’s him."
Oded’s girlfriend: "Oded, are you the mole?"
Oded shrugs. The expression on his face says: "Maybe, who knows?"
Israel and his son both agree that Oded’s hair looks disgusting.
Oded’s girlfriend says he still looks good and that the hair is not permanent.

Day 10
Today’s mission is to track down a hot air balloon in the sky. The contestants are scattered in a 10 kilometer radius from the balloon, and each contestant has a video camera, and car with a GPS system, where he/she can see the other cars, but not the balloon. They can communicate with each other, but they have to make eye contact with the balloon. The families and friends are also recruited to the mission, but each contestant is in the car with the people that Israel paired up with them the day before. Dana and Itai are on the hot air balloon, the rest of them, as mentioned before, are on the ground.
All the cars start moving, except for one: Oded’s car gets stuck right at the beginning. Sharon’s friends, who are paired up with him, don’t seem to think it’s a coincident. The rumor is out, and it gets to Sharon’s crew, which is composed of Friend 1 and Oded’s brother.
Brother: "My brother is a natural born mole."
Friend 1 (points the camera at herself): "I don’t think his brother is the mole."
At the end, Oded’s car gets out and joins the mission.
In the meantime, while Dana tries to get Itai to look at the view, the balloon is falling down. Itai and Dana get down to the bottom of the basket.
Israel is the first one to see the balloon, and he tells the rest it’s falling down, but the man navigating it seems to have it in control Sharon also sees the balloon, and Zehava gets stuck in the middle of the road and asks for directions. The balloon starts coming down again and smashes on the ground. The people run from their cars to help the people in the balloon, who suffer from light burns and bruises. The mission falls along with the balloon, and the group doesn’t add the 10,000 shekels to their account. In the hospital, we see Dana looking at her X rays, and Itai’s wounded hand holding a hospital form that says: "reason of injury: falling from a hot air balloon".The contestants say goodbye to their families. They are sad to see them go, but non of them wants to be the one returning home in a few hours, the one returning home after the execution.
The next execution will be at the Ben Gurion airport, where one of the members will be left, while the rest will fly to an unknown location.

Suspicions
Sigi and Dana mention how suspicious Oded is, especially after his car got stuck.
Zehava says she’s trying to read people, and that Israel seems like he could be the mole.
Zehava: "One evening, he came to take my paper. And I gave him a part of it and saved a part of it. And the next day, when I saw the mole’s message on the van’s door, it looked a lot like the paper’s letters."
Sigi: "Sharon is here to search for love. And the way she plays, is to see if she is loved."
Sharon: "Oded is a very strong person. He is very strong. I’m glad he’s 22 and not 30, because I couldn’t have compete with him."
Oded: "I won’t write that Sharon is the mole. Something in me won’t let me."
Sharon: "I started to get that Oded is under pressure. He tries to look all the time like he’s cool, and everything is all right, and everything that happens just goes by past him. He doesn’t show any emotions. Everything is cool, everything is under control. And it’s an act, because you see he’s under pressure."
Israel talks about Sigi, who didn’t try very hard the dice missions, while everyone else did.
Sigi: "I think it’s me. Is it possible that you told me but I don’t remember?"
Oded: "I’m aware that there is a big chance that I will go home today."
Dana: "I’m afraid that I’m a little dizzy, and I’m not focused, but I’m ok. Either everything will turn out ok or it won’t. Whatever happens, happens."

Suspicious
Sigi won’t do any of the dice missions.
Israel starts off very nicely at the pairing mission, even too nicely, but ends up making big mistakes. Did he know who everyone was from the beginning?
Zehava, the teacher of the bunch, is very aware of her husband’s grammar mistakes.
Dana points out that she thought the others will probably suspect she’s the mole and that she sabotaged the balloon. Can the mole be so Psychotic?
Israel once pointed that the mole is not very good with grammar.
Oded’s car gets stuck.
