The Israeli Mole
Episode 6

Zehava has left. Five remain. These five, after surviving more than half of the show together, has gotten to know each other to some extent, deeper than before. At the same time, it gave everyone enough time and knowledge to create their own unique tactics. An interesting situation has been created: On the one hand, people have started opening up to one another, and on the other hand, they started manipulating each other in the most sophisticated ways. Truth, lies, empathy, sneakiness; Everything is mixed together. And in the midst of all that, standing in the shadows, observing and waiting to strike, there is THE MOLE!

Day 11
After ten crazy days in northern Israel, the five remaining contestants get a day off in the sunny city of Eilat, which is Israel's most southern city, near a border of three countries: Israel, Jordan and Egypt.. Eilat, LA's twin city, is a great tourist attraction with many beaches, hotels, etc. Highly recommended if you ever visit Israel. 

In the night each member gets a camera for a confession. 
Sigi points out that the group is down. 
Israel and Oded mention that Israel is a little sick (the contestant, not the country) Israel gives an example for a cough. 
Sigi talks about how everyone misses Doron and how things were not the same after he was gone. 
Sharon says she's sick of the game and she can't wait to go home.

Day 12
The group goes to a soccer field. Five chairs await them there. Itai the host meets them and sits in front of them. Itai:"Five of you have remained, and the big question on everyone's mind is: Who's the mole. So who is really the mole? With this question in mind you continue to progress. Some with a lot of motivation, and some progress when they are near a total nervous breakdown. And I¡¦m here to make you an offer. If anyone wants to leave the game, for the sum of 20,000 shekels, you're welcome to do so. 10,000 will be paid by us, and the other 10 will go out of the joint account. With 20,000 shekels, this person can go home."
The four contemplate the idea for a while. At the same time, in case one of them does leave the group, a replacement is waiting in Eilat. It's Doron. Why him? Because the night before the group members were asked who they miss the most in the group. And Doron remained a popular member. Dana and Sharon are sitting together on the grass. 
Dana:"I've had enough. I'm taking 20 thousand. I got a rent for a year."
Sharon:"No one's gonna go. And there's no way you're going. If you're leaving I'm here alone."
Dana:"Why alone?" Sharon:"Because I don't have communication with the rest of them."
Dana:"You got Sigi."
Sharon:"Sigi is stuck to Oded."

Confession Cam
Sharon:"I would be happy if Oded would leave. But I don't think it's possible. But I got Dana. I'm starting to discover her."
Sigi:"Sharon... I don't think she's too good in the group. She's sort of an outsider. But it would be a humiliation for her to quit. So she won't take the money, although she needs the money."
Oded:"The offer is interesting. More that it interests me as to 'Do I take it or not?', it interests me to see who considers it, who really does consider it."

Oded and Dana are sitting on the grass, discussing the offer. A few meters from them, in the background, Sigi and Sharon are seated on the grass. 
Oded:"If they raise it to 30, you're leaving?" Dana nods. Oded:"And what if they don't?... Maybe I'll go." 
Dana:"You won't go." Oded:"I'll go for thirty. If Sharon doesn't leave, I will." Dana:"You're terrible." Oded:"I'M terrible??? Quite the opposite."

Dana:"I just don'¦t know what to decide."
Israel:"The sum is too small. Look, I came here to play the game. I'm gonna play the game. To walk away in the middle is... I want to go through this experience fully."

Israel lies down on the grass, on his stomach, leaning on his elbows. Dana and Oded laugh as they see it. Dana:"Will Israel go?" Oded:"Israel won't go."

Sharon:"For 5000 shekels I can travel for a year, but for a hundred thousand shekels, I can travel for five years. The life in this game is surprising, and it's more interesting than staying home."

The contestants all go up to the stable where Sharon is standing to discuss the offer among themselves. 
Sigi:"Sharon, have you decided if you're taking the offer yet?" 
Sharon:"I'm not taking the offer." 
Oded:"May I ask why?" 
Sigi:"So! Nothing is left except for letting me take the offer."
Israel:"You're not taking the offer. You don't have the group's approval." 

Afterwards, each member talks privately with the host. Israel, Sharon, Oded and Sigi are not taking it. Dana doesn't know if she wants to take it or not. She gets time to think about it until midnight. 

It's time for the first mission of the day: the Host needs three types of people, and the contestants will help him pick: He needs one person with a lot of courage, two people with persuasion skills, and two others who are resourceful. 
Oded:"I'm the persuader." Israel:"You go with the courage." Oded:"No, I'm the persuader."
Sharon:"Dana. Dana with the courage." Dana:"Fine, I'll go." Israel:"Dana with the courage? No, no, no, no." Dana:"What's your problem, Israel?" Israel:"Come on, I saw you in the snepling."
Sigi says that Dana has courage, Israel tells her she doesn't. Flashback: Dana is screaming "NO!" while going down the cliff in the snepling mission. 
Sharon:"A person who has fear of heights doesn't necessarily have fear of other things."
Israel:"She doesn't seem like a person with courage."
Oded:"Israel, here's the deal: It's either Dana..." Oded and Israel (simultaneously):"Or you." 
They decide to have a vote. Israel and Sigi vote for Oded. Oded and Sharon vote for Dana. Sharon:"And Dana also votes for Dana. So Dana goes for the courage." 
Israel:"Dana doesn't go to the courage!" Dana:"Shut up already." Israel:"She's not going."
Sharon:"We live in a Democratic country." Sigi:"Come on, she can't do it. She's just a kid." 
The group argues some more. Sigi and Israel say that Dana is not up to it. Sharon and Oded say it's a Democratic country and so the vote should be Democratic. Oded:"Ok, Dana is going to the courage, Israel and I are going to the persuasion, and Sigi and Sharon go to the resourcefulness."
Dana:"Hold on, I only want to ask one more thing, before I'm going to the courage. It's not gonna be like the hot air balloon, right? Can I be certain that what I'm doing is completely safe?"

We suddenly see a building: On the roof of this 18-meter shopping mall stands Dana. Her mission is to jump. The team's mission is to try and stop her from jumping for the next 30 minutes. Dana's secured with ropes and cables, and has a helmet on her head. If she jumps, she's getting an exemption from the execution, the exemption that the group views as treason. 
The group can stop her by two ways: Oded and Israel can convince her in psychological or other ways she shouldn't jump. At the same time, Sigi and Sharon will try to reach Dana through the building, through many obstacles. If they can before the 30 minutes are up, the group wins 10 thousand Shekels. 
Israel:"Are you jumping or not?" Dana:"I don't know what to do." Israel:"Dana?" Dana:"What?"
Sharon and Sigi get into the underground parking lot. Sharon:"Is there an underground passage here?" The two check out all sorts of doors and corridors. Sharon:"Closed. It's all closed." They both find a door, manage to open it, and go through. 
Outside the mall. Israel:"We don't want you to jump!" Dana:"That I WON'T jump?" Israel:"That you won't jump." 
Dana:"I gave you my word that I would jump, from the beginning.". Israel:"Before we knew what the mission was!" Dana:"I gave you my word!"
Inside the mall, Sharon and Sigi reach another door. Sigi:"We found a bunch of keys, we're getting closer. Keep up the offers in the meantime." 
Israel:"We've talked about it before in the quarry." Dana:"Yeah..." Israel:"Do you want to be in Sharon's position?" Dana:"Em... Truth is - no. But..." Oded:"But..." Dana:"But I don't know what to do."
Sharon continues to try the keys on the door they found. Sharon:"It's gonna be the last one. You get me? It's gonna be the last one." One look to their left, and Sharon and Sigi could notice that the right key is resting on a fire alarm. Frustrated after trying all the keys they had, the girls decide that they should go back down, leaving the correct key resting near the door that it opens. Sigi keeps talking to Oded and Israel on radio:"Talk to her about the depression. Remind her how bad she'll feel about it later."
They have 15 minutes left. Oded:"Okay, so let's say you're staying four more days. Think if being stuck here for four days in this position is worth it."
Dana tells him she sees it as a game and that she loves him anyway, no matter what. Oded:"To stay with the problems we have in the group, and add this on... it doesn't seem like it would be fun anymore, and I think that fun is the key word here. I can assure you that I won't be angry at you, but I can't talk for the rest. And as much as things..." 
Dana (interrupting him):"I'm not even thinking about what you're saying. I'm thinking whether I'll be angry at myself. That's what's important." Oded:"And will you be angry at yourself or not?" Dana:"I don't know."

Inside the Mall, they are both argueing. They run around, not knowing where to go. They think they may have found a passage to the roof and report it to the boys. They get out of the window, but soon get back in. The guys have to return to the Psychological battle.
Isreal:"Jump. Just jump and that's it. Go for it!" Oded:"Dana, listen for a second. Is there anything we can offer you so you won't jump?" Dana:"Think about it. I'm making a phone call. You think, Israel, what you're willing to offer me. Think about what you want to offer me. I don't know what I want. I want everything!"
Less than 8 minutes left. The girls try another window while the guys discuss the situation. Israel, being the practical man that he is, comes with a practical solution. Israel:"5000 shekels. Who says that if she jumps anything is guaranteed? If she doesn't jump, she has 5000 shekels in her pocket." 
Inside the Mall, the girls are near a window. Sharon sees Dana, but she can't get to her. She's gonna have to find a different route. 
On the roof, Dana calls a telephone advisor: Doron. She thinks he's in his home, and doesn't know that in fact he's in Eilat. She tells him her situation and her dilemma. When she's done, she turns to the guys. Dana:"Doron told me to jump, so I'm jumping!" Oded:"5000 shekels, you're jumping or not jumping?" Dana:"No, one moment." Oded:"You're jumping or not jumping?" Dana:"I'm jumping. I love you very much." Oded:"Six thousand. Seven thousand." Dana is reluctant. Israel offers 8000. As she has less than 2 minutes, she gets edgy. She's asking the person standing next to her (who is in charge of her security in case she jumps) to watch out for Sigi and Sharon, and tell her if he sees them. She tells Oded and Israel that now when she's so close to the deadline, she's scared to jump, but feels she has to. They tell her she doesn't have to jump. Israel reminds her that she has more security in the money than in the exemption, which doesn't promise her a victory in the game. Israel:"Money in the pocket, Dana! Money in the pocket! You can live on that for 6 months in Tel Aviv."
Civilians have gathered and are starting to shout the countdown and cheer Dana on. Oded:"If you're jumping, there's nothing certain."

Dana jumps, and is going down in a really slow speed. Sigi (on radio):"She landed already?" Oded (on radio):"Yeah, she landed." 
As the five reunite, Dana is sitting on the sidewalk, smoking a cigarette, as the "grownups" talk down on her. Still, throughout the conversation she can't get the adorable smile off her face. Sigi:"You're not ashamed?" Dana (Smiling):"Of what?"
Sigi:"Of having an exemption?" Dana (still smiling):"I'm very ashamed." Sigi:"I'm very angry."
Sharon:"Because of me you lost only 8000 shekels." (referring to the exemption Sharon took in episode 4.)
Dana:"Yeah."
Sharon:"Because of you, we've lost a lot more money." Dana (casually):"Yeah." Sharon:"Can you at least have a tear, like I squirted the entire Niagara?" Dana starts laughing at her. Israel:"She has no conscience." Dana continues laughing. 
Israel:"A smile on her lips, but she has no conscience." (imitating Dana) 'I love you, I love you, I love you', but I'm gonna slug you." 
Since now she has an exemption from the next execution, Dana decides to stay in the game, and pass on the 20 thousand shekel offer. Now Dana, who almost quit, bought two extra days in the game, but Doron, who almost got back into the game, is forced to look at the promised land, but not to enter. 

As the group is having dinner, Doron approaches their table. Five heads spin in amazement as he approaches. Sharon gets up, runs towards him and hugs him. She has felt lonely in the game for a while now, and is REALLY glad to see him. On the taped confessions they got to do a day before, she mentioned how it's not going to be the same without him. Doron:"Hello everyone, good evening. It's great to see me." The rest of them remain seated. Doron:"Get up, people, look who's here!" They get up and hug him in their turn. They make room for him, and he joins them. Doron tells them he was supposed to replace whoever would have left. "But since so far no one is leaving, he will stay out of the game, so I just came to see how you're doing."
Sigi:"You couldn't come up with something more original?" They all laugh. Doron:"Fine. I missed you." Sigi:"So what's been up with you since you left?" Doron:"I was a little in shock." flashback from Episode 4: the host slaps Doron's face gently as he stairs in the air, while they are both waiting for Doron's cab. Doron:"But I had long two hours and a half to think about it. So I returned home repaired."
The host joins them and tells them once more that since no one took the money, Doron would now disappear. Doron snaps his fingers, and the screen goes black.

Day 13
The group is seated down for a breakfast with the host. Host:"Yesterday you didn¡'t add yourselves anything as a group. Someone earned something from it, Dana, who got an exemption from the execution, but you didn't add anything to the joint account just like you didn't add anything for a long time now. 70 thousand shekels. You have a chance to do it now. For the next mission you'll be divided to two groups."

Dana and Sharon go to the art group. They have a day to make a series of ten pictures and present them in a gallery. Right now there are several series of pictures in the art gallery, each series has a different topic, presented by ten pictures. In the evening, a professional art critic will view the pictures and will have to point out the series that Dana and Sharon did. If Sharon and Dana's pictures would be in high quality, maybe the critic wouldn't identify them, in which case the group would earn 10 thousand shekels. 
Sharon and Dana go through the pictures, looking at them, getting the sense of it. Sharon:"I want to seek ants in the grass."
They start searching for ants, Dana aims the camera at them and shoots. They film ants and screws on the sidewalk near the grass. Sharon:"I don't know anything about photography."

In the meantime, by the pool, Sigi, Israel and Oded get their instructions. Their mission is connected to Sharon and Dana's mission. Host:"As far as you got to know them, do Dana and Sharon have any certain 'touch' you could recognize in art?" Oded:"Ah, I see. Dana - maybe. Sharon: no."
In the meantime as the three wait, Sigi and Oded have to listen to Israel's geopolitical opinions. Israel:"It hurts me that what they do in this country is a road network. It's all malls, factories, high tech, shmi-tech. There is no place left outside of the city, to a place where you hear jackals haul in the middle of the night?" 
Oded:"Every time I leave the house." Israel:"But for how long?" Oded:"For several good years." Israel:"The moment they cut the state of Israel, with a highway splitting it to its length, and another one to its width, the nature will disappear. So there will be orchards, there will be 'Green corners' but the nature will be gone." Sigi agrees with Israel. Oded is skeptical. 

Sharon and Dana are in a construction site. Sharon looks up and takes a picture. She found her item. It's the light slightly going into the building through cracks in the roof. Sort of a game between shade and light.  Irit Zomer is an art critic, and the owner of an art gallery in Tel Aviv. If she would recognize the pictures of the two amateur artists, the mission has failed. If she picks another set of photos, the team has 10 thousand shekels. Irit goes over the photos. The host, Dana and Sharon accompany her. She stops at Dana and Sharon's art. She's not sure if it's a real photograph or something typed in a computer. She's not sure what it is. Eventually she decides that it was made by a professional artist. She goes to the next set of photos. Irit:"It's not too late to change my mind, is it? I've changed my mind." Sharon slightly moves away from the exhibit, towards another one, as if trying to get Irit to slightly doubt herself. It works! She starts doubting herself, unsure which of the two exhibits is Dana and Sharon's. Eventually she picks the wrong one. 10 thousand are in the account! 

Now Sigi, Israel and Oded are called to recognize the pictures. If they get it right, the group get an extra 5000 shekels. Sigi sees a picture of a blurry blue person, bald person with some stupid hat on his head! She thinks it's their own bald friend, Dana (who got her head shaved in a previous assignment). She shows it to Israel, who offers Sigi to do an elimination, and see which exhibits are NOT theirs. They arrive at Dana and Sharon's light beam pictures. They're not sure what it is and view it curiously. After eliminating the ones they think are not made by Dana and Sharon, the light beam pictures are still a possibility. Sigi says it doesn't match Dana and Sharon's character. It's more like them to do something big and colorful. The guys agree with her and they eliminate the exhibit, choosing some picture of a window. 
The host calls Dana and Sharon, who point at the correct exhibit. No bonus for the team. 

Now, due to Dana's exemption, the four team members have to not only choose who is the Mole, but remember each and every detail about the Mole.

Sigi:"Dana's jump surprised me, because before the mission she said don't worry, I'll do anything for the group, and then they tell me on the radio that she preferred to do everything for herself. It's not like Dana, because Dana always wants for everyone to like her."
Dana:"I still think I'm a good friend, but I agreed to save my own ass."
Sigi:"Dana is a kid. She knows we can't be angry at her." Flashback: Sharon confronts Dana after her jump. Sharon is mad, Dana is laughing. Sigi:"So if you happen to have landed on a person you can't be angry at, you're not angry at them." Flashback of Sigi confronting Sharon after the paintball mission. Sigi is angrily pointing her gun at Sharon. Sigi:"Sharon, on the other hand, is a person you like being angry at, so you're into being angry at her."
Oded:"I have no hate for Sharon. I don't think she's a good person. I don't think she's looking to do harm to people. I think that she takes things out of proportions."
Sharon:"I suspect the same person as before. I suspect Israel, who despite the fact that he's sick, he decided he's staying here. Because he's the mole, and he can't go home!"
Dana:"I think that today I suspect Israel the most." (laughing) "I don't know."
Israel:"I think that Dana plays a game that is not so clear. She makes you think she's going for a specific thing, and then she goes on a totally other thing."
Sigi:"It could be that her 'thing' as the Mole is to play dumb, and that's why all the missions fail."
Oded:"I'm hoping that Sharon would fall today, not because I hope Sharon would fall, but because of lack of options."
Sharon:"You could say I'm a little more tense than usually, because if I'll fail that exemption, I'll feel like a sucker for not taking the money."

Suspicious in this episode
Dana, who considered taking the money and leave, dragged on the jumping mission for 30 minutes, jumped seconds before the deadline, and decided to stay in the game. She was the only person who dragged the decision all day.
Israel, who is sick, still stays in the game.
Sigi and Sharon both miss the right key in their mission to reach Dana before she jumps.
During the search for a passage to the roof, Sigi practically runs the persuasion attempts, by telling Oded exactly what to tell Dana.
Israel offers Dana money out of the kitty if she doesn't jump.
Sigi is the one that eliminates the right exhibit from the art mission.

Elimination
Dana has no worries for the elimination. She is sure to stay in the game for another few days with her exemption. But one of the others has to go. Who will it be? Click and see...
