11.09.02 11th September 2002 - I can't believe it's been a year since the tragedy. Time sure flies. My heart still breaks for those who lost their loved ones. College has started and it's quite alright. A bit busy up there though. I'm taking Spanish, Music, Philosophy & Ethics, Maths and Physics. My situation doesn't seem any better but i'm still ever hopeful. These past few months have passed in a blink of an eye. I had a fantastic summer after all. Went swimming off Battery Rocks again today with Ben. Next AFS orientation might be in Manchester when we go back. I'm dreading to go there for it takes 13 hours by coach. Anyway, have to go there to take my flight back. It doesn't matter but i think it will be quite worth it. I'm willing to travel that far and long to see my friends! Syeekin's decided not to go to Northern Ireland. I really want to go to Ireland, but more to Dublin. Hopefully i still can go to Aberystwyth to visit Jose before we go back. OPEN THE EYES OF MY HEART LORD....

21.09.02 A month has nearly gone. Found out yesterday that AFS UK didn't invite us to the orientation camp up in York. Quite pissed off! It's quite unfair for the four of us. None of us are happy about it. Stupid AFS UK. Only one camp for the whole year! Spoke to Jose and Syeekin yesterday. Today went to pick blackberries again down by the rugby pitch with Peter and Penny. Whole afternoon gone doing that. Hehe. Syeekin's coming down here next weekend, so i'm quite excited!! Not sure where we'll go though. Bring her to meet Ian and Alison, for sure. Maybe go to Land's End or something. Might go up and spend my birthday this year with Jose. Then go up to Scotland again. If no one's interested, i might go to Ireland myself. AFS doesn't have to know of course, cos they didn't bother inviting us to the camp, so i shan't bother telling them. Quite sucky, but at least my host family is great. If i was still with Carol, I'd probably be more depressed than ever! Went out to The Dolphin Tavern with Julie(from France) and her collegues. Wasn't greatly fun, but it was nice though. Volkan's probably busy getting pissed(drunk) again this weekend. Countdown to Syeekin's arrival : 1 week.

24.09.02 Went swimming all by myself again today - BATTERY ROCKS of course. Lots of people there, mostly from church. Father Larry and the others. Last Sunday night, went down to the karaoke at the rugby club with Peter, Penny, Andrew, Jowan and Julie. It was quite good as the American exchange students were there. Syeekin coming in 3 days!

30.09.02 Syeekin went back today. We had quite a fun weekend. Picked her up from the bus station on Friday evening after college. On Friday night, we went to watch Road to Perdition then went for supper. As usual, fish and chips! Went to St Michael's Mount on Saturday morning, then went to watch rugby against Sedgely Park, in which we won 40-16. That night, we went to Ian's until about 12am! We went to Sennen and Land's End on Sunday. We walked to Mousehole with Ben this morning. The other bed in my room stinks of urine. It's really horrible. Now i'm looking forward to mid next month when i can meet up with Syeekin, Shiang and Jose again. I'm relaxed now here, definately. It'll definately be very sad to leave. :o(

07.10.02 Last Friday, Teresa brought me to Truro Cathedral for this Rock Mass. It was weird, but cool. Nothing like i've ever seen before. Jenna and her family were there too, so i sat with them and the people from St Mary's church. They had a bit of fireworks after the service.. Saturday afternoon, went to watch the Pirate Colts play rugby. We won of course. That night, went to babysit Alex and Nicky because it was Ian and Alison's wedding anniversary. Not bad since i managed to earn myself 10 pounds! Went blackberry picking again on Sunday. I scratched myself all over while swimming yesterday morning by the corals. The tide went out really fast. Just now, we swam off the slip when it was king tide. Supposably, the highest tide in 40 years! It wasn't too bad. I don't know how long left i can swim there cos the weather's getting cold. So many things i want to do before i go back. I've been thinking about going back quite a lot lately. Really depressing. I'll miss Cornwall. Especially when the weather is holding up and sunny. Kernow bys vyken(Cornwall forever)! Nos dah(Good night)!
