| 10-26-01 -- Wecome to the new site. I still have the old website up. To visit it, go to: http://ni3d.homestead.com/rickmast50/ . I will soon have all the features that I had on that site soon up here. So, keep checking back until then. In other news, Rick Mast made the show this weekend for the Checker Auto Parts 500 at Phoenix. Rick will be starting in 27th place in the #90 Hills Bros. Ford. 10-28-01 -- Today, Rick Mast started in 27th place. He fell back to 41st on the first lap and fought his way back up to finish in the 25th place. The car didn't have Hills Bros. on the car because they pulled out yesterday (Saturday). Every time that Rick was just about to go down a lap, caution came out each time. Also, Rick was just about involed in a wreck with about 50 laps to go. Rick missed the #97, #02, and a couple of other cars wrecking just coming out of turn 4. Let's hope Rick will have a great run next weekend at Rockingham. Let's go Rick Mast #90!!!!! 11-02-01 -- I hate those provisionals!!!!!!!!!! Rick didn't make the race becasue the #71 and #85 where faster than 36th and all the cars out of provisionals where also higher that 36th!!! This stinks!! Well, let's get'em at Homestead next weekend. Let's go Rick Mast #90!!!!!!!!!! 11-13-01 -- Well, Rick started in 41st place for the Pennzoil Freedom 400 at Homestead and finished in 38th place. Rick had to go to a backup car after he wrecked his main car in Happy Hour. Here's the link. Well, let's get them at Alanta this weekend. Let's go Rick Mast #90!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 11-21-01 -- Well, Rick wasn't in the race at Atlanta last weekend. One week the provisionals are good to you and the next weekend they take a chance to race from you!! I still think that NASCAR should fix the provisionals or eliminate them except for the 43rd position. Well, the next race is the New Hampshire 300 at Loudon, NH. This is the race that was originally scheduled for the weekend of Sept. 16 (the weekend after the terrorist attacks). Rick WILL be starting in 40th place for the race. Let's go Rick Mast #90!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 11-23-01 -- Rick Mast started in 40th place and finished in 28th place in the New Hampshire 300 at Loudon, NH. Rick was down 3 laps to the leaders. Early in the race when the first caution came out for Micheal Waltrip cutting a right front tire, Rick had a great pitstop comming out 3rd behind the #24 and I think the #40. Then, I don't know why, I think Rick went back down pitroad again and started back in 38th place on the re-start. Also, this just in about Rick's 2002 plans, "FSN's NASCAR This Morning reports that Rick Mast could be headed back to the #14 in 2002 (Jayski)." Just wanted you guys to know. 12-14-01 -- Well it's official!!!! Rick will be driving the #90 Duke's/Sauer's Ford Taurus for the 2002 NASCAR Winston Cup Season (See the main Logo above). The people at Sauer's were kind enough to send me a copy of the press release to post on my page. (Special Thanks to Carolyn.) I've already finished the drawing of the 2002 #90 and it's on my "Rick Mast" drawings page right now. If you want to see the layout of the #90 from the Sauer's web page and the real car at Jayski's, please go to my Sauer's link page to get the links. Let's go Rick Mast #90!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 12/21/01 -- Well, I have just added a new logo to my site. It's the UNOS logo. They are the United Network for Organ Sharing. Also, check out the my drawings page to see the rare #91 BAMA Ford of Rick Mast from the 2001 EA Sports 500 at Talladega. I got a picture from a friend and I will not disclose their name or the picture, so please don't e-mail me asking for the picture. So in closing, I hope all of you have a happy holiday!!!!!!!!!!! 01/09/02 -- I have some sad news to report. Rick's mother, Helen, has died. Memorial contributions for Rick's mother, Helen, who died on Dec. 31, may be made to any of the following: Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Rockbridge Baths, VA 24473 Rockbridge Stroke Club Rockbridge Area Free Clinic Rockbridge Baths Fire Department 01/18/02 -- Well, I'm going to the Winston Cup Preview (It's on 01/19/02). Here's the link: http://clix.to/NASCARpreview/. Hope you guys like them. Also, I have a report on the preview here on my site. The link to it is: LINK. Well, only 9 days until the start of Speedweeks at Daytona!!!!! Let's hope Rick will have a great showing down there!!! Let's go Rick Mast #90!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 02/12/02 -- Well, Rick was 41st fastest in Qualifying at Daytona. Because of that, Rick will have to start near the end of the field for the first Gatorade Twin 125. Rick will be starting in 21st place. Rick needs to finish in the top 14 of that race to get into the Daytona 500. If he doesn't, we will have to hope that the #90's provisionals standings from 2001 are high enough to get Rick in the Daytona 500. Well, I'm of to see the Gatorade Twin 125's in Daytona live!!!!! As soon as I'm back, I'll have a report about the race up. Let's go Rick Mast #90!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 02/22/02 -- Rick didn't make the Daytona 500. Well, I was there and the #90 couldn't stay in the draft. This weekend, the NASCAR Winston Cup Series invades Rockingham for the Subway 400. Today was qualifying and Rick had to take a provisional to get into the race. Rick will be starting in 43rd position. Well, Rick, take no prisoners in the race!!!!! Let's go Rick Mast #90!!!!!!! Also, the NEW paint scheme is below: 02/26/02 -- Today, I'm finally posting my 2002 Gatorade Twin 125 report. You can find the link under "My Page" or here. Rick started 43rd and finished in 34th place in the Subway 400 at Rockingham last weekend. The next race is going to be the UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400 at Las Vegas. There will be 44 cars going for 43 places in that race. Well, let's go Rick Mast #90!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 04/11/02 -- Sorry for the long delay of updating the site. I've had some family problems and computer problems as well. Well, last weekend was the Samsung/RadioShack 500 at Texas Motor Speedway. Rick started in 34th place and finished in 29th place down 3 laps to the leaders. The up-coming race is the Virginia 500 at Martinsville Speedway. If you like short track racing, this track is one of the best. Well, let's hope Rick can have a good run this weekend in the #90 Duke's/Sauer's Ford Taurus. Let's go Rick Mast #90!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 04/23/02 -- Last weekend, the cup car raced at Talladega for the Aaron's 499. Unfortunately, Rick was not in the race. The next race coming up is the NAPA Auto Parts 500 at California Speedway. Let's hope that Rick will be in this race this weekend. Let's go Rick Mast #90!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, I've just uploaded a Checklist for all 16 Drivers wives that are on the Duke's Mayo Jars. Here's the link: CheckList. 07/02/02 -- Sorry I haven't been updating the site that much the last couple of months. I've been really busy. In the news, the doctors still don't know what is ailing Rick. Rick will be sitting out yet another weekend while the rest of the Winston Cup drivers are going to the Pepsi 400 at Daytona under the lights. Donlavey's race team might end after the next race at Chicago. Ed Berrier will be driving the #90 this weekend at Daytona Night in place of Rick. Well, best wishes go out to Rick and we all hope to see you back in a race car real soon!!!!!! 08/13/02 -- Sorry I haven't been updating the site that much the last couple of months. I've been really busy. In the news, the doctors still don't know what is ailing Rick. Some people think that Rick somehow got a really rare form of carbon monoxide poisoning. I don't know it that is true, but when it's made official on what is making Rick sick, I'll post a message about it. If people want to know about the annual Golf Tournament that Rick hosts at "The Homestead" in VA, it's still going to happen. It's going to be on September 4th. How ever, the concert isn't going to happen this year. Well, best wishes go out to Rick and we all hope to see you back in a race car real soon!!!!!! 08/20/02 -- In the news, the doctors still don't know what is ailing Rick. "This was reported on Wdbj7 at noon. We have an update on Rick Mast's condition after an illness took him out of the driver's seat. Rick is still trying to pinpoint his problem and find a cure, but his wife Sharon told News 7 Sports yesterday that he is feeling somewhat better. Rick is scheduled to see a specialist in Colorado in a couple of weeks. Racing in the future is not out of the question, but right now he just wants to get his health- related questions answered."
