The Gatorade Twin 125s are two of the most exciting races of the NASCAR Winston Cup season.  They usually have between 25 27 cars per race unlike the points races, which have 43 cars in them.  In each race, the top 14 make it into the Daytona 500 (top 15 if pole sitter or outside pole sitter is 14th or higher).  These are the only two qualifying races of the season.  The drivers go all out to be in the Daytona 500 field.
The first of the Twin 125s was pretty boring.  There was only one lead change, and it happened on the 1st lap of the race.  Rick was able to stay with the lead pack for awhile.  After that, Rick lost the draft of the leaders.  Rick finished in 22nd place on the lead lap while Jeff Gordon (#24) won the race.
In the second of the Twin 125s, we had two caution flags.  The first happened when the #2, #41, #44, #49, #59, and the #77 where all involved.  The wreck happened coming out of Turn 2.  The second wreck happened in the same place when the #41 of Jimmy Spencer cut a right front tire because of the damage that was sustained in the first wreck.  In this race, Michael Waltrip (#15) won the race and started in 4th in the Daytona 500.
Unfortunately, Rick didnt make the Daytona 500.  These are the cars that didnt make the 500:  #23, #41, #44, #59, #80, #84, #85, and the #90 of Rick.
