Sites and Trips
This page is a continuation of the Nassau Sites web page.
Ardastra Gardens
Ardastra Gardens- I took hundreds of pics and even more video.
Wicked
You could spend the entire day here and not see everything. It was really great.
We wanted to go to this place but we found it a bit expensive so we went with our class and we got a great school rate.  The Flamingo above would agree.
The Caves
The caves were pretty cool. They go in about 10-15 feet.  They are full of bats.  Left is the entrance to the tunnel, and on the right is Nicole, Louise and Kirsten sitting on the shell chair.
B.C. Hilton Hotel. The British colonial Hilton Hotel has been here for over 40years, It's a massive hotel and tourist attraction.  I had a soccer meeting here with the Bahamas Football Association.
Sailing Regatta Often there are sailing regattas on the island.  Sept 25th a student invited us on her parents boat to watch the action... So we checked it out... It was great being on the Ocean down near Fort Montego.
Jambalaya The Crystal palace casino has different shows so we went to a show there. It was pretty good.
Radisson- We went here for a time share presentation, said no thanks and took our $100 and went to the casino.  After that we spent the day at the beach.  The shows (see Jambalaya) and casino were pretty good but the hotel is under a refit and needs it.  We scored a free lunch but the hotel resturants were very expensive and drinks cost around $7-8 each... needless to say, it was a dry day at the beach.
Culture Fest The Bahamas has an International Food Fest.  We went for two days and had just about every type of food and beer from all over the world.  It was great until I got to the India tent, I'm pretty sure they have no food regulations and I ended up puking all night thanks to some under cooked chicken served with a side of dirty hands... Next year it's gonna be Canadian beer and American hot dogs!
Halloween Carnaval - Our school has a halloween carnaval every year.  It was a lot of work but the day turned out great.  Check out the pie eating contest.
