| A.The main purpose of this website is to inform. After that, visitors can make educated decision on how to best care for their fish. The highest priority I had was making sure that the website was easily accessible. I feel that the navigation on the left side of the website is easiyl seen and easily understood. Another goal was to draw attention to the content of each page. I feel that I was able to accomplish that. |
| B. The design I went with is simple and easy to understand. The navigation is on the left sid eof the page, as referenced on my Home page, and the content is in the middle of the page. I chose blue and yellow for the content since they are the color of some of the fish featured on this website. I also feel like they compliment each other well, with yellow being easily readable on a darker blue background. The choice to use darker blue to hold content on top of the light blue background was to draw attention to the content. I used a black background with yellow text for the navigation to differentiate that from where the content is. I used https://www.w3schools.com/howto/howto_js_sidenav.asp as the foundation for the navigation menu and tweaked it to how I liked it. |
| C. If i had more time, I would definitely like to research and include a live stock counter, if possible. It would keep track of stock in the brick and mortar store if there was one. For the website, I would create a fake store that would influence what was in stock on the website. I would also like to create a more immersive page based on the breeds of the fish. I would like to include a dropdown menu that showed the compatible breeds if you chose a certain breed from another drop down menu. |
