A movie I was skeptical about since it came out. It looked like something a twelve year old only would like, even though it's over two hours. But I was wrong. Indeed this is a pretty slick movie. With the help of some great writing and good acting and non-stop fun, this is one of the better movies of the year and one of the best surprises I've had in a long time.

Disney is really raking in the money this year, distributing three of the best movies of the summer (Finding Nemo and Freaky Friday being the others). I have to admit this movie is just really fun to watch. Johnny Depp is really great in this role, though he might come off as irritating to some. The entire cast really pulls off acting like ghost pirates believably. Special effects are used pretty well and the story is really good, although the ending seemed a little weak, the way everything just magically ends on a super duper happy note within minutes of certain death for our hero.

Anyways, If I keep going Ill give the movie away. Actually no I would not because no one reads this stuff. I'd get a real website and liason with other critics, but I'm cheap. This one's a true charmer, see it!

In short:
Comedy: Yeah, some comical comments here and there
Violence/language:Non-bloody fight scenes, no language
Nudity/sex: None
High Points: Very fun and entertaining, good acting too
Low Points: Didn't like ending, Johny Depp character annoying at times

Rating: B+
