Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones are back in the sequel to the highly successful first movie. The duo rejoins to defeat another set of aliens trying to take over the world. They get help from talking alien worms, a loud mouth dog and Laura Vasquez, a witness to an alien murder who holds the key.

I wasn`t necessarily a big fan of the first movie. As a matter of fact, I dont really remember any of it. In any case, This has all the makings of a sequel. They brought back most of what people liked. The chemistry of the Smith-Jones duo, cool special effects, funny side characters. But they forgot one thing... A story!!! The plot was clearly not priority in making this sequel. Though it`s funny and all, it`s not funny enough and the special effects are not great enough to stand out on it`s own.

If you think you need to plan your entire night to see this movie, think again. This movie is one of the shortest movies I`ve ever seen, about 80 minutes or so. You should be prepared for a few things though. Fisrt the computer generated aliens and quick one liners should keep you amused for a while. But don`t look for anything else. The villain is as evil looking as a teddy bear, and the acting of Rosario Dawson is as convincing as her best Elvis impression (though I haven`t seen, cant be that good).

Oh, and the King of Pop cameo is pretty funny too!

In short:
Comedy: Fair amount, though not necessarily by Will Smith
Violence: Fair amount, nothing gory or too explicit for children
Nudity: None
High Points: Some cool special effects, the dog
Low Points: Lame story, poor acting lead actress, villain not so evil

Rating: C+
