I wasn`t sure was I was going to see, but it turned out to be right up my alley. Identity is a dark thrilling killing spree in a old motel with more than a couple of twists. After going "What the hell..." a couple of times, this movie turns out being nothing like you thought. Best described as Scream meets Mulholland Drive, you`re in for a ride with this one!

You can tell with the directing and overall ambience that this is quite an expensive and ambitious movie. This is just fine by me, I like it when we are given a bit of a challenge. If you`re not into confusing movies, the action and suspense is sure to attract your attention, this is probably the scariest movie I`ve seen since The Ring. The title of the movie is also not clear until the end, I will leave that up to you to find out...

There is a large cast in this one, John Cusack having the biggest role. Some of the cast members thought they in were in a cheap horror flick and thought it wasn`t worth giving a real good performance, which is too bad. I should probably see it again to get all the facts straight, but from what I remember not everything in the movie holds up 100%, but that`s ok. The reason I say that is beacuse even as I woke up this morning, I was still thinking about the movie, which is a good sign.

I recommend this to all, not many films like this get done, which is really a shame. Definitely one of the year`s best so far!

In short:
Comedy:A few sarcastic remarks
Violence/language:Violence, gore, language all alive and well in this one
Nudity/sex: None
High Points: Suspenseful, non-staightforward, Directing
Low Points: A few unskilled actors, a few holes in plot

Rating: B+
