Freaky Friday August 12, 2003 Starring: Jamie Lee Curtis, Lindsay Lohan, Harold Gould, Chad Michael Murray, Christina Vidal, Mark Harmon Director: Mark S. Waters Official Website: http://disney.go.com/disneypictures/freakyfriday/ Why would a twenty four year old vibrant sexy young male see such a girlie PG movie? With choices like S.W.A.T and American Wedding, you must be asking yourself "Is this guy turning gay on us??" The answers are I've seen my share of action flicks this summer and was in the mood for something different, and no I do not play for the other team. The truth is, this is a pretty funny and entertaining movie. Jamie Lee Curtis shows why she is so successful with a really funny performance and great chemistry with Lindsay Lohan. This isn't just funny, it is one of the funniest movies of the year. Some critics are saying this could the year's sleeper hit of the year, and I believe them. Of course, you'll see this movie is made by Disney. So you know this movie isn't for the intellectual movie buff. There are a few scenarios that could never happen in real life, and a guy that would never be so easily gullible. There are also the typical bratty brother and touchy feely moments often seen in these kind of movies. But the good thing is that the movie is so entertaining and funny that you don't really notice them. If you don't notice them at all, this is an A movie for you, if you don't find the comedy is all that great, this is more of a C movie. As for me, I am a happy middle with a B...oh what the heck B+...I'm in a giving mood! In short: Rating: B+ |
