Official Website: http://www.brucealmighty.com/ Just when I thought I had seen the best movie of the year and the best Jim Carrey movie, this movie just takes you on a hilarious journey in the life of Bruce Almighty, a struggling reporter who gets a chance to be God after blaming him for his crummy life. Jim Carrey is just in a class of his own when it comes to comedy like this. I loved Liar Liar and this one is sort of in the same vein, but better with the help of guys like Morgan Freeman and Jennifer Aniston, both pretty funny and slick themselves. Regardless, this movie wouldn`t be what it is without the presence Carrey brings. This movie has also an element of having a point that applies to people of all ages. For some it might be unnecessary as it slows down the funny parts of the movie, but I liked that it was more than just funny. Sure it feels a little like an afterschool special, but they pull it off pretty good. Overall, congrats to Carrey and Co. for one heck of a funny movie! See it! In short: Rating:A- |
