Some Remarkable Discoveries! The Work of Robert James DeBurgh (Poet) was first discovered and brought to the lovers of good poetry in much the same manner as were the Qumran Scrolls, though not quite as big, and not at Qumran, and not by a nomadic shepherd. Actually, the Works of The Master bear no resemblance whatsoever to the Qumran Scrolls, either in the manner of their discovery or in the nature of the Works themselves. In fact they have nothing at all to do with the Qumran Scrolls; we just thought wed do a bit of name-dropping , a bit of borrowed kudos - you know the way it is.... Actually, the first of The Works appears to have been discovered by a Mr Fred Thwaites of Scunthorpe,on the wall of a Public Toilet, while he was on holidays in Torremolinos. Being of sound mind if noisy buttocks, Mr Thwaites quickly copied down the great work off the wall, (where it had been almost obliterated by the work of other, if lesser, poets) and onto a piece of Toilet Paper. Later, after he had mentioned it to his wife, he couldnt find what hed done with the piece of Toilet Paper, and that work, known to the society as The First Great Work, was lost. Fortunately, the conversation was overheard by Roger Twiddle, who onetime had applied unsuccessfully for a job on The Times, and the Great Search was on ! AND YOU CAN BE A PART OF IT!!.
