It only takes a second
to ruin someone's life
it only takes a moment
and so you are sacrificed
on the altar of destruction
because we are all absent-minded
and we have forgotten the art of construction

Where will it end
when we only can pretend
that we spend our life right

It only takes a second
to mislead someone's thoughts
it only takes a moment
and so the victim is brought
to the alter of consumption
because we all want to be happy and pleased
even if we don't know what we need

It only takes a second
to change your way of living
it only takes a moment
to learn how you should be giving
what is correct to place upon the altar
where life and death have the exact same weight
but we don't want to know
because we all want to go our own way
and we don't understand
that we have to pull in the same direction
and stop the insane extraction
of the resources in the world

It only takes a second
and so there is nothing left to gain
it only takes a moment
and so the earth is cold like the moon
or do you think that something will remain
when we are pleased
and have lived out our dreams
it only takes a second
to change your point of view
it only takes a moment
to create something new and good
if you only would
