Those clever men
the masters of Capitol hill
they who require locking in
for ever for everything
in Sing-Sing Attica Joliet
Folsom Rikers and San Quentin
and other places just like them
do they really know what it will bring
because one day
almost everyone is locked behind bars
and without rehabilitation when they do time
they will come out like wild creatures
raving up against the stars
filled with crack and ecstasy and heroin
just to forget where they have been
and where they are going

When you got nothing to lose
you don't care for anything
when you are born without the right to choose
you can learn how to kill
just for the pleasure of it
when you got nothing to lose
you don't need to rest

Those clever men
the masters of law and order
can't they see that they just create disorder
can't they understand that more laws
will force more criminals to come forward
since there are no other way to survive
when we build up a system
that is doomed from the start
then we also should admit
that what is illegal to do
gives the best income
for those who got nothing more to lose
so that is why punishment can not stop the
violence and hate
it only helps to continue the unhealthy society

that we all want to be so pretty that we
have the death penalty
for those who step over the accepted line
and so we convict them and let them rot in
a cell for about 10 years
and so we fry or inject
or hang or shoot them
not of mercy
but their cell is needed
by a new loser from the system

where will it all end

why won't they ever change
is the never ending struggle against more
and more power
that shutdown their mensa minds
or is it so
that there is no other way
we can go to reach our goals
in some near future
before they have destroyed
