| Fun Dog Show
We all know a horse show just isn't the same without the family dog. We decided it would be fun to include them in the horse show too! Join us Saturday evening for a FUN DOG SHOW. The show will be held in the main arena. Come and root for your favorite dog. Pay a single $10 entry fee per dog and participate in as many classes as you'd like. Trophies will be awarded for first place with ribbons through 3rd place in each class. A Best in Show trophy and ribbon will be awarded to the dog with the most points after all 6 events. As you can see from the list of classes this dog show is not to be taken seriously. Bring your poochies out, show them off to everyone and have a great time! We have LOTS of prizes and no one will be left out. Our classes are: 1. Smallest Dog 4. Ugliest Dog 2. Biggest Dog 5. Smartest Dog 3. Cutest Dog 6. Best Dressed Dog (there will be a tack hold on this class if necessary.) All dogs must be on a leash and you should be able to provide proof of rabies vaccination if requested. Entry forms and back numbers for the dog show are available in the show office. |
| Gamblers Choice
This year, Riding for Miracles will be hosting a Gamblers Choice jumper class immediately following the dog show. The Gamblers Choice is a fast paced jumper class over a uniquely designed course. Each competitor jumps a round of their choosing over a course of 10 to 14 jumps starting at 26in height, within the allotted time. Each jump carries a point value based on its degree of difficulty. The winning factor is usually the daring nature of the competitor, as the top horses usually accumulate the most points. Final scores are determined by adding the total points during the round. Each rider then has the option of taking the Joker Jump with the risk of gaining a large number of points, or loosing those points from their accumulated total. Gamblers Choice Rules 1. All riders are required to wear protective headgear with chin straps. 2. No jump may be jumped more than twice. 3. If a rail is knocked down on the first attempt, that jump may not be jumped again during that round. 4. Some jumps may be jumped from either direction. 5. If the horse has already left the ground when the whistle blows, thus ending that round, points will count if they successfully clear that jump. 6. The Joker Jump is optional. Jumping this jump is not included in time allowed and will be the final jumping effort. 7. Prize money for this class will be paid out as follows: First place - $300.00 Second place - $150.00 Third place - $75.00 |
