What is it ? DeMolay is a fraternal organization for young men between the ages of 12 and 21 years. Why DeMolay ? DeMolay is an organization that teaches young men to work together, respect other people and their beliefs and build leadership skills. Whats in it for me ? Being a part of DeMolay allows each member many opportunities to do new things as well as introduce things they like to others. Members of DeMolay plan all of their own activities. They plan, budget, prepare and DO what interests them. Who provides the leadership ? Several adult advisors who have all been trained and certified by DeMolay International guide each chapter. The advisors of a Chapter are just that, advisors; their job is to advise not decide! Who are DeMolays ? The Order of DeMolay has been around since 1919. It was founded by Frank S. Land in Kansas City, Missouri. There have been many famous DeMolays including Presidents, athletes, astronauts and actors. Members of the fraternity are all over the world. |
