The Order of DeMolay is the world's greatest and largest fraternity for young men between the ages of 12 and 21. There are chapters in all fifty states in the United States, as well in seven foreign countries including the Philippines.

Our main goal is to help make us better,while we are still young men, which will in turn help us to become good adults. We do not discriminate against any one because of their race.

Members must love and serve God, but other than that, their religious opinions are their own. We do not try to make any one a certain religion. In our Order, we base our teachings on our Seven Cardinal Virtues: Filial Love, Reverence for Sacred Things, Courtesy, Comradeship, Fidelity, Cleanness and Patriotism.

The Order of DeMolay was started over 70 years ago in Kansas City, Missouri. DeMolay is a character building organization for young men. In over 700 chapters throughout the United States, these young men have the opportunity to develop management, leadership and social skills as they participate in community projects <http://www.otn.com/goodtimes/default.html>, sports, and other educational programs. A DeMolay's word is as good as his bond. A DeMolay is courteous. A DeMolay is at all times a gentleman. A DeMolay is a patriot in peace as well as war. A DeMolay is clean in mind and body. A DeMolay stands unswervingly for the public schools. A DeMolay always is a good and law-abiding citizen. A DeMolay by precept and example must preserve the high standards to which he has pledged.

He promised to be a better son
He promised to love and serve God, his country, and his fellow men
He promised to honor and protect every women
He promised to slander no one
He promised to aid and uphold the public schools
He promised to walk uprightly before God and Man
All of these things, and more He did promise!

THE PURPOSE OF DeMOLAY

The purpose of DeMolay is to build better citizens, and the Order does so by providing a young man:
   - A wholesome occupation for his spare time.
   - Worthwhile associates.
   - The best of environment.
   - An interesting and complete program of all-around youth development.
       If a member enters wholeheartedly into the activities of the chapter,
       which range from community service project to social affairs and
       athletics, he will find that the returns are both material and
       spiritual. He will form lasting friendships, and among other things
       he will learn responsibility and self-reliance.
