The last two weeks at AMI have been pretty great, I'm impressed. It's kind of unfortunate though for two of the current events quizzes... I've gotten pretty low scores. Mainly though because I read the wrong paper the first time and I can never seem to hear the right things on the radio, or watch the right station at the right time on television for updated news. The second time, I didn't have a dollar on me to buy a newspaper from the vender machine thing by the street, plus the paper I wanted to buy was sold out anyway, so that just sucks.
The first quiz I got 20% on, and the second one I got 30% on... out of 10 questions, so thats barely an improvement. I just hope that its not that big of an issue.
Life in Halifax is definately different than I'm used to... I miss everyone "down home" still... I keep meeting up with people that remind me of my friends, its kind of creepy. I talked to a guy at a bus stop that full out reminded me of Brian because of how he looked... plus the guy was puffing away on a cigarette, so I guess that helps the image. I also met two guys in my AMI class that remind me strongly of Barret Ross and Kevin Corkum... I'm not so sure about the Kevin one, but he reminds me of someone. Also, believe it or not, I seen someone that reminds me of the one and only Soup Dawg the other day, that was kinda neat... =( I miss you guys!! >.< Alice wants the four of us to get together and drink again, (Jer, Soup, myself & Alice). That would be fun still, maybe even Shantelle would wanna come too, that way only Soup would feel left out lol, j/k man.
Thursday was quite fun at school, for osmething I'm not used to doing... we had to interview 25 random people on the street in partners. It was quite fun hearing the responses. My topic was on public smoking ban laws and my question was this: "Do you think law enforcement on smoking in public places should be a higher priority?". The answers were quite varied, so it was cool.
I had to get my hair cut Tuesday because it hadn't been cut since Prom, so you can imagine how much curl my hair was starting to get... I'm sure Jeremy can relate to that, it sucks! $13.41 later, my hair is trimmed off and shorter than normal, at least sides & back, its nice. Of course I like it, and Alice can't keep her hands to herself... take that how you want! lol j/k!! I'm too young to die...
Anyways, you might all read this today... I'm getting phone & internet hooked up today finally god dammit! I was deprived of 3 things since I moved up here and I'm slowly getting them all back! Pop, Alcohol & Internet... what a great combination!
So Alice and I love it up here, we have a lovely apartment minus a few things... like two holes in the walls near the floor for a non-existant cable line, a crack in the sliding door to a huge closet, a fan that doesn't work over the stove, a fan in the bathroom that doesn't work, and a bath tub faucet thats a pain in the ass to get turned on! But other than that, we like it here.. the view is wicked. I'll post pictures as I get them developed. Alice also loves Dalhousie University, and the only downfall to University is that our fucking student loans haven't arrived yet... stupid loan people! Until more happens, bye bye.
