It's mostly been same ol', same ol' here, go figure. AMI has been getting more elaborate, kinda technical stuff, so its been interesting. So far, I'm beginning to really hate the news, I never wanna do news reports, but now we're getting into creative writing! This stuff is pretty good, we're dealing with commercials now, kinda blah, but its all good.
Yesterday was the first day of creative writing, but it ended today after a group assignment with the class. Troy and Gordon Grainyer of Clary Flemming & Associates, the company owner is also co-owner of the Atlantic Media Institute. Yesterday, we started off with listening to commercials that are worth about $25,000 to about $50,000. I think its kind of funny how now that I go here, I'm picking up on some media traits. For example, have you ever wondered why C-100 plays 40 minute marathons, not 30 or 50? Ever listen to the news in the early morning and notice the double time checks (e.g. It's 7:10 now, 10 minutes after 7) Well, now I know why, its cool, but that time check thing gets annoying when you notice it!
I heard the weather has been pretty crappy down home, rain and such... but its still been really nice here, except late Tuesday night and early yesterday morning. Typically, the sun was out at 12:35pm and I took my leather jacket to school with me... I roasted! Or fryed... ha!

I still miss being home... even Jon said even thouhg we neve talked much while I as home, it was nice to hear my voice. Coming from him, thats way out-field! Soup mentioned getting drunk with Jer, Alice & I again... I wish we could, but I can't right now, it kinda sucks not being able to come home, living all the way out here. But at least I'm coming home for Thanksgiving... I'm just glad I'm having friends come up to visit me... Right?!? That would suck ass if you guys didn't... Alice and I have already been ditched twice now... Audrey & Peter came up to see us and they made a wrong turn, couldn't find our apartment, and went home... Audrey, Alice's mom, was pissed, but not as much as we were. The same day, Matt and Ben were supposed to come over, but they couldn't find us either... are we THAT hard to find??? GRR...!!!

Financially, we're doing okay, I guess... Alice & I still haven't gotten our student loans, so we're pretty pissed off at them... Geeze... over one little fucking thing on the application form... thats stupid!
Theres not a whole lot oging on really... I've been doing few assignments here and there, now & again. Alice has been doing a lot of reading, but thats about it. In order to get any groceries, we have to either walk/bike to Clayton Park (20 minute walk) or take the bus downtown to Superstore on Joseph Howe, or Sobeys by the Halifax Shopping Centre.
Unfortunately, it gets pretty rough to carry a lot of groceries. We have been getting bottled water (2L) and a lot of milk, can juice and occassionally some booze.. oops.. I mean pop! Unfortunately, once on the way home, Alice tripped and with all that can juice and milk in her backpack, hurt her wrist when she hit the ground... so that sucked. Ugh, the biggest annoyance is NOT BEING ABLE TO DRIVE!! I miss driving the "big ass car" =( even though last time I drove the car, I fucked up the transmission... ha!
Back to school issues again, I guess not much if anything has changed... AMI seems so familiar, déja-vu like, even on the first day... its really creepy! I'm kind of a loner, even here in class, but theres a few people that talk to me on occassion.... I still feel like a loser here... maybe I thats why I miss my friends back home... =( I guess thats what happens to a guy who never wants to talk to anyone first... *sigh*
