I went out this morning to inspect the damage. It definitely looks like the wheel is bent back against the side of the wheel bay.I called the insurance company (and dropped the connection after talking to the agent for nine and a half minutes; fortunately she called me back). I have a $1000 deductible. She authorized a reimbursement for a three-days' car rental until the adjuster can contact me and determine if the car is so undriveable that it merits a tow to the shop.
Too bad the rental agencies are closed today. I called someone about a ride to work and got their voice mail. Well I'm sure I'll get there somehow...
