My future's so bright
Last night I did four loads of laundry after I got home from work.This morning I got up, did my exercises for the first time since I came down with the flu/whatever, and cleaned my floors. I used that Pledge Grab-It Mop System for the first time. A plastic dowel broke off and the trigger section came apart. I can still stick it back together long enough to squeeze soap onto the floor, but it's still a damn nuisance. If I hadn't got it for free I would return the unused portion and demand my money back. Hey. I probably still could.
Then I went to the apartment office to see if I could borrow their vacuum cleaner, and they hadn't even opened yet, although they were half an hour overdue. More obstacles in my way. Maybe I'll take a can of Pledge and a towel and go dust off my car's dashboard.
Why this hub of activity? Well, I'm supposed to have a date tonight.
At least, someone is supposedly going to call me when they get in from Denver today (to visit family here), so we can arrange to meet for a drink or something. I've been in these shoes before, so we'll see how it goes.
