An Arizona State of Mind

Didn't quite get in to work on time this morning, as my ride seems to refuse to accept the reality of Daylight Savings Time. Reminded me a little of myself when I visted my brother once in his bachelor days and slept on his floor. I was supposed to get up Sunday morning and accompany him to church, but he didn't have any luck waking me up.

"I tried kicking you, but you just rolled over," he said.

Remember how the dollar theater on our side of town closed down? I was disturbed this weekend to find that the owners didn't even bother advertising their offerings at the two theaters they still own on the East Side in any of this weekend's newspapers. Do they not want to stay in the movie theater business? Or maybe they've just decided that dollar movies aren't profitable and are determined to make it a self-fulfilling prophecy.
