Richard Fernandez Fuertes

A self taught gifted artist. Born November 8, 1968 at San Narciso, Zambales Philippines. The youngest and only son of Cirilo Fuertes Jr. and the late Josefina Fernandez with three loving sisters Jocelyn, Lorna and Rhodora.

He took his Elementary  Education at San Jose Patrocinio and  High school at Magsaysay Memorial College. Took up Nursing but abandoned it at De Los Santos College, Quezon City Philippines.

In 1985 her mother passed away, Richard suffered depression, frustration, distress and struggle in life and that made him an ARTIST. To develop more his talent in painting, singing, dancing, writing, fashion designing and playing the piano took special course in these subjects.

In 1991 held his first one man show exhibit using unique style of finger painting. The show entitled God's Gift and was held in his home town. Since then he continued painting and selling his works. A member of KALIPUNAN NG MGAMANLILIKHANG SINING PILIPINO (KAMASIPI) Visual Arts Philippines.

Richard migrated to the United States of America February 13, 1999 and joined the Barstow Art Guild, a member of Survivors Artist Foundation in New York. Praying and hoping to make wave someday. Describing his works of expressionism.

Fuertes paintings are outlet of his feelings of distress, happiness and his special relationship with GOD. He is primarily inspired by his friends.

Having so many creative gifts from God, Fuertes aims to bring out all the talents that God has given him for his glory.
