NEW RULES OR CHANGES ARE IN GREEN
1.  There will be a weekly entry fee of $21.00 per Men's Class with $20.00 per week going towards a 100% payoff and $1.00 goes towards weekly trophies. There will be a weekly Powder Puff Division, with a $11.00 entry fee per driver, $10.00 going to 100% payback and $1.00 going towards trophies. There will no longer be a tire rule, with the exception of no studs in the Rear Wheel Drive Classes, Front Wheel Drives can run one (1) studded tire on either rear with the studs being no more than 1/4 inch past a single nut. Tires may be sipped. No fluid or foreign substance allowed in tires.  There will be a $5.00 a day maintenance fee per car up to $25.00 for the season. We will be looking into the possibility of a studded class and will allow cars with Menards Tires or 1/4'" and/or 3/8" bolts not more than 1/4" past a single nut to hotlap (times posted below).

2.  On regular race days cars must be registered and numbers drawn by
12:00 noon SHARP! Racing will start at 12:30pm SHARP!! A car registered after 12:00 but ready to race at start time will be allowed to race but will start in the back of the longest line in their class. On regular race days drivers will draw for their heats with the top three in each heat re-drawing for their feature starting position. This draw/re-draw will be on a three week trial basis, if it doesn't seam to be working we will return to the old system.  For Season Championship Races  drivers will draw for heats only, with feature races run first according to points. Season Championship day's points  will also count towards year end awards. You may call the Bungalow if you are running late and want someone to draw for you but we give no guarantees as to the outcome. It is yours or your representatives responsibility to draw.

3.   All drivers, men and women, must be 14 years or older to drive verifiable with photo ID, no exceptions!!!  The car shall be considered registered, not the driver. If a car is put out of commission the driver may race another car. The points stay with the car, not the driver. You cannot switch a number from one car to the other once racing begins for that day. The car must take the green flag in order to receive points for that race.

4.   Powder Puff Races will be
in rotation with the men's races. Powder Puffs will run one (1) heat with the men's second set and one (1) feature race. All women will run together but there will be two classes, Rear Wheel Drive and Front Wheel Drive. This also means there will be two separate payoffs and two trophies. Points stay with the driver for that class of cars. If a woman races with the men at any track she is not allowed to run the Powder Puff's. Sign up will be at the Bungalow Bar with the men's sign up. Any driver not registered at sign up may still register at the lap shack prior to the start of the  Powder Puff  race's but will start last in the heat . Notify the shack immediately of number changes, but you must stay in your class of cars. All helmets, driver and passengers, will be left off until told to put them on by an official.

5.
Practicing on race day will be only for cars that have studded tires and will be from 11:45am - 12:00 noon and one sesion approxamentaly 10 minutes long during intermission. There will be no plows grooving the track this year so the studs are meant to help the surface, we encourage everyone to help out. No racing allowed in the pits!!! If you see someone, anyone, going fast in the pits, slow them down. We have children present and need to police the speeding in the pits. When it comes to safety everyone is an official!!! THANK YOU

6.  All cars will be inspected the first day they register, and each race day there after. Unannounced spot checks will be done at random. You will be given one week (unless otherwise noted) to fix any violations for the first offense. Second or more offense for the same violation(s) you will loose all points and money for the day. Unsafe cars will not be allowed to race.

7.  Fighting is not allowed. Any fighting by a driver or his/her pit crew will result in a two week suspension with loss of all points and money. If suspension is at the end of the year it will carry over into the following year. Officials call is final and cannot be overturned!! We are here for fun and will not tolerate bull.. Take all disagreements to officials (not the lap shack!!!). Anyone caught going to the lap shack will be disqualified for the day!!!!

8.  Drivers are responsible to be at lineup. If a driver is not at lineup and cars are sent out on the track the lineup judge may, provided the green flag has not been shown and safety in mind, allow a car on the track but that car will start where its at. If that car causes the first restart it will be eliminated from that race. Once a car/driver is registered your money is in the kitty and no refund will be given. You will however receive last place prize money and show points, but no race points (unless you take the green flag and pull off).

9.   All drivers and passengers must wear safety belts and helmets at all times while on track. A 4 point belt system is mandatory in both the driver and passenger seats and must be securely fastened. Ask any local dirt driver for their used sets, they have to replace them every couple years and most will be happy to give them to you for free or very little cost. Only one passenger per car. A 2 point roll bar/hoop is mandatory over driver/passenger but 4 point is highly recommended.
The top bar must be above the driver/passengers helmet. This rule does have a one week grace period.

10. Brakes required on at least two wheels but recommended on all four. Extremely loud cars will be given a one week grace period to muffle noise.

11. Cars are to be clearly numbered on door or rear quarter (with very visible numbers!!!), roof plate and upper passenger side windshield. This will be enforced!!  We discourage numbers longer than three digits and multiple numbers. This makes it hard on the lap counters. Roof plate will be flat and no bigger than 18 inches high by 24 inches wide.

12. Rear spoilers are to be low enough to permit proper vision through the vehicle. All glass must be clear. Windshield wipers are required on both sides of windshield and in working condition. No wings or sail panels.

13. Original restart if ALL cars do not make the first lap. One restart per race!! A driver that is called for a second restart in the same race  will result in disqualification for that race. All restarts and calls at the discretion of the officials. This decision is final!!  Any car that has crossed the start / finish line on a caution  will be awarded that position for the restart  with the remaining cars scored by  the running order of the last completed lap. If you drive past the lineup judge on a restart you will be disqualified!!! In other words, on a restart do not go past the lineup judge until told to do so!! If you jump out of line on a restart and cause an extra lap you will be disqualified. We are on a time restraint and need driver cooperation.   A vehicle that leaves the track while racing or gets stuck in the bank will be disqualified for that race if it is deemed that drivers own fault for leaving the racing surface. Any driver that exits a vehicle while on the track, without officials approval, will be disqualified for that race without pay
and points.

14.  All heat races will be 8 laps with a ten (10) minute time limit. Consey races will be 8 laps with a ten (10) minute time limit.  Feature races will be 15 laps with a twenty (20) minute time limit.  When a time limit is meet under green conditions we will display white ~ checkered. If the time limit is meet on a caution we will display green ~ white ~ checkered (one time). If  the  caution comes out during time limit the race will be considered finished.  Any car that has crossed the start / finish line will be awarded that position with the remaining cars scored by  the running order of the last completed lap.

15.  Flagman will make all decisions of black flagging. If you are black flagged you must leave the track immediately. Failure to do so will result in loss of points and money and suspension for the day. All decisions by officials are final!!

16. You cannot win a race by driving over the finish line backwards.
Absolutely no racing after taking the checkered!!! All vehicles will slow and exit on backstretch exit with the exception of the top five (5) in the Feature race, they  will go directly to the infield inspection area.

17.  No alcoholic beverages on track, drunk drivers will not be allowed to race. This will be enforced by the line up judge prior to track entry!!

18.  Stock frames only but may be reinforced, with the exception of the rear stub (from rear end housing mounts back) can be rebuilt.  Weight jacks are allowed. Weights are allowed but must be securely fastened with ratchet straps or other strong material (no ropes or bungee straps)  within the confines of the car in a
leak proof container. If anyone sees loose weights in a vehicle either let the driver know or tell an official. We had a rollover in the past and need to think safety. Remember, when it comes to safety everyone is an official!!!!

19.  All external chrome, pot metal, plastic and etc. must be removed. Also, all external glass  (lights, turn signals, mirrors and etc.) must be removed, with the exception of at least one red light that is on at all times located on the exterior of the car on the top, rear, drivers side of the roof. All cars are to have a working fire extinguisher within drivers reach and easily released.

20.  Door protection is mandatory on all doors that have a seat, even if no passengers will be in the car. This rule does not have a one week probation for drivers door, but passenger door will get one week with no passenger allowed in the car. If the seat is removed, no door bar is required. This rule will be enforced this year!! Protection may be mounted inside or outside, if outside it must fit mid height and tight to the body, four inches past the back of door with no sharp edges.

21.  Front and rear bumpers are mandatory and must extend and be fastened to the quarter panels with no sharp edges. We lost too many tires in years past and this is an effort to police this problem and will be enforced. Some ideas are an old tire or sheet metal (no sharp edges) bolted to the bumper and quarters. Radiator protection is allowed but cannot extend past the confines of the bumper. Tow hooks or chains are required on front and back of vehicle. Drive shaft chains are required (rear wheel cars/trucks).

22.  Batteries may be securely mounted in the stock position. If the battery is mounted inside the vehicle it must be in a battery box and securely fastened to the vehicle. Stock gas tanks are allowed. If gas tank is mounted inside of the vehicle there must be a firewall between the tank and driver.

23.  All vehicles
must have a plastic sled or catch pan(s) for leaks with your car/truck number clearly marked on them. Any vehicle that doesn't have one will receive one from Rice Lake Ice Racing and will be assessed a $10.00 non-refundable rental fee with the sled to be returned at the end of the day.  We will be enforcing this because of our increased exposure with the radio, newspaper and other publishing's. We risk the chance of being shut down if we cannot police our garbage and spills. There will be a plastic disposal barrel for spills and numerous garbage barrels around for garbage. We encourage everyone to held keep our area clean so we can continue to run.

24.  Again we will be giving each eligible car a picture of their car and driver as well as the stickers. We will take orders for additional prints at $10.00 each. These will not come with stickers but you can purchase them separately. Contact Troy for details at (715)296~6768.

25. These rules are for safety and guideline purpose only. Just because it is not in the rules does not make it legal. If you have any questions ask an official. These rules may be changed at any time with a majority vote.
