Elektra
How did she die?: Elektra was two things at the time of her death. The lover of superhero Daredevil, and an assassin for the supervillain, the Kingpin. So when she refused to carry out one of her contracts and instead saved the life of Daredevil's best friend, Foggy Nelson, the Kingpin hired another assassin, Bullseye, to kill her. It was quite a fight, but Bullseye succeeded in the end. How she came back: Daredevil was obviously devestated by her death and tracked down his old master, Stick, to try and bring her back. But a ninja cult called the Hand had taken her body and already begun a resurrection spell. In the end, it was a combination of the Hand's magic, the life force of Stick's aquaintance, Stone and Daredevil's love for her which brought Elektra back. Quite a popular woman really.
The Green Goblin
How did he die?: The Green Goblin was Spider-Man's worst enemy, and proved this point by kidnapping Spidey's girlfriend of the time, Gwen Stacey, and killing her. This rather annoyed Spider-Man who chased after the Goblin, seeking revenge. The two fought at the Goblin's hideout, and Spidey gained the upper hand. It looked like Spidey was actually going to kill the Goblin for a while, until he hesitated and looked at what he was doing. The Goblin used this momentary pause to reach the remote control for his glider, and attempted to impale Spider-Man on it. But Spider-Man ducked, and the glider impaled Gobby instead. How he came back: It turned out that the Goblin had a healing factor, which no
one else knew about. Gobby killed a homeless man and put his body in his coffin instead. He then fled to Europe for a few years, where nobody he knew would find him, and healed up. So basically, the Green Goblin got better.
Havok
How did he die?: Havok was the leader of X-Factor, when the team fought a villain named Greystone. Greystone had built a device that had the capability to disrupt the structural balance of the space-time continuum. Apparently. Havok attempted to destroy the machine, but the resulting explosion took Greystone's ship and Havok with it. (See "X-Factor" volume 1, #149, published by Marvel comics) How he came back: See, Havok didn't actually die. Because of the nature of Greystone's machine, Havok was actually shunted into one of those handy alternate universes we all know and love,
where he led another super team, the Six, in many fun adventures. (See "Mutant X" volume 1, #1, published by Marvel comics)
Kraven the Hunter
How did he die?: Kraven came to America with only one goal: to hunt and defeat the Amazing Spider-Man. After several years, and many failed attempts, Kraven actually beat the wall-crawler. He then buried Spider-Man alive in a coffin and impersonated him for a while. Then, having finally acheived his main goal in life, Kraven decided there was nothing more for him to do, and shot himself with a shotgun. How he came back: He didn't. Kraven's still dead, and hopefully, he'll remain that way.
