What is irc Gor? Irc Gor is a virtual community based upon the fictional writings of John Norman. It is a community that exists solely for the pleasure of men. Women, whether free or slave, find themselves at the mercy and on their knees either at the side or at the feet of such men. Disrespect is not tolerated. It is not welcome. It is not wanted. It is normally dealt with swiftly and harshly... Black Tarn Castle does not force collar slaves, though some homes do. slaves first must prove they are worthy of the steel of the men of Treve, then they must beg the collar.

Taking the leap into Gor... those first steps can be, and in this slave's humble opinion should be, a very terrifying experience. Gor is NOT fair, you are slave subject to the whims of the free! It is good to be scared in the beginning. Fear makes one more conscious of their behavior. This awareness can lead to fewer mistakes and a much easier beginning to learning about Gor. There is much for a kajira to learn. one does not simply walk in and plop down on a counter or pillow or lap for that matter and say, "hi ya'll!" If one follows the guide a girl will soon layout, it will make your first trip and ultimately any future trips into irc Gor more pleasant. A girl feels it is important to point out that while one is learning the free tend to be lenient. As long as one shows that they are putting forth an effort to learn and are learning the free guide new ones with unswerving strength and compassion.

Begging Entrance
A slave must beg to enter Black Tarn Castle (and many other homes). one begs entrance in the position of obeisance also referred to in some homes as kar-ta). The basic steps of this position requires the slave to kneel in the entrance, lowering their body to the ground until their forehead touches, their arms outstretched, fingers splayed wide. rhee will give you an example...

Proper Greetings
one always greets the Masters first, if any are present with Greetings Master Name, then Mistress, if any present with greeetings Mistress, then slaves. In that order, each and all Masters, then each and every Mistress, then and only then does one greet slaves.

Going afk or leaving
one begs to go afk or leave... we do not have to beg to return from afk, we just slip back in quiely greetings in the same order those who entered in our absence.

Well wishes
In the same manner we greet, we wish well... unless the home is full we wish each Master, then each Mistress well then the slaves. When the home is full at times we are allowed to wish well in the following way...

a girl wishes the Masters well
she wishes the Mistresses well
rhee`na wishes her sisters well

Final notes:
A couple final notes, the free of BTC recognize that real time comes first... if one has an emergency r/t they are not only expected but required to attend to it. They do however if time permits still like to have a girl beg to leave or go afk... even if one does not wait for permission but types afk please? rti (***NOTE: IF TIME PERMITS, if not leave then beg mercy upon your return)
One final note, in spite of their best intentions or efforts, there are times when the free are busy or even afk or just do not notice a girl begging to enter, leave or go afk, this does not negate the requirement to beg entry, to be afk or to leave. So, the Masters of BTC allow the slaves to beg once, wait a few mintues and if one is not granted permission they beg again, wait again if they do not give permission they beg a third time and then are allowed to do as they beg for... Simply put, slaves are allowed to beg three times with time in between to allow the free time to respond then may enter, step afk or leave without express permission granted.
