| Greed (2004) Clay and Wire. I wanted this piece to represent the effect of greed on one's environment. In the center, the Monolith seems to be drawing the shorter cylinders into itself. The idea that the large structure is never satisfied is reflected within the reaching tentacles. The image of the cylinders came from the idea of stacks of coins piled high by a character like a miser. |

| The Tempest Design: R. F. Grafton I found that the design concept works well for Prospero's Island. By using a set of three revolves, the set spins in on itself. It divides the space into thirds; each third is then able to provide ample acting space for the director to utilize. |

| An overview of the set shows how the set lends itself to some intersting staging of The Tempest. Action on the downstage could be finishing while the next scene is being prepared. Following the revolve, the actors could have the next scene underway. Although not pictured here, I modernized the shipwreck scene for this set. Instead of a boat, I used the cockpit of a contemporary plane; a device a modern Shakespeare could have employed. |

| Waiting For Godot Design: R. F. Grafton This design follows the traditional interpretation of Beckett's piece: the set consist of a tree and large rock, placed in front of a cloudy backdrop. A closer look at the tree will show that the bark is made up of a series of human hands. The hands grip the hands around it, and allow for a darker, more surreal tone to the design. |

| My Design also incorporates the use of masks for the characters. Each character has been caricutured; the masks have a particular feature that is exaggerated. Eyes, ears, nose or mouth. |

| The Love of The Nightingale (2004) Fully Poseable Dummies For this project, I was asked to create a pair of figures that could be manipulated by actors in recreating the play's rape scene. The dummies were life-size, and would later be dressed in costumes similar to that of the actors.
