| Ryan, my son, hates it when I put a picture out of him on top rope. Who set this one up? Actually, we set it up from the top. I don't think it was even actually a climb. There is a funny story about this one.. This was at summer camp a couple of years ago. The crux kicked his tail. It was not a clean effort and worst of all, we all were watching, about 30 of us. Finally he made it. Next climber was a young girl, camper. When he wasn't looking, we pulled her over the crux... This really upset him that she made it much less, so quickly. We let him stew for a while You have to know Ryan. A driven climber. |
| New Heights Group stared out of a passion for the sport and the recognition that rock climbing brings out the best in everyone who tries it. Rock climbing is a true and pure sport. The only competitor is yourself. Each time you climb, you set new goals for yourself. Each time you experience it with someone else, not only do you learn about them, you learn more about yourself. With everyone we have introduced to the sport, we have watched a transformation. This is the only reward we seek. We have seen the most inhibited youth, grow and blossom. All become our friends. We have seen no age barrier, no communication gap, no class or status inequality. We do have our heros, but our heros are there to encourage us to be more than we are. To never give up, continue to strive to be the best that we can be. We promise that it will change your outlook if you give it a chance to take hold of you. You will need to let go, learn to trust while reaching down into yourself and pulling yourself to New Heights. RB |

| Motly Crew: Where's Tricia? Behind the camera, again. We lost 4 1/2, Tomice is 1/2. George and Steph, Brandon and Cloudia, So we had 29.5 at the Shelf, May 06. If we count Cuddles the dog (pictured) and D.O.G the dog and Whatever Stuckys call their dog, we had 32.5, Maybe just 32. Cuddles ain't got enought to count as one. |
