Foster McCauley of Rison, Maryland., 75, a former resident of Wellsville and retired Pennsylvania Railroad Conductor, died of an apparent heart attack Tuesday morning at home.
He was born February 12, 1892, in Ravenswood, West Virginia. a son of the late Alex McCauley and Martha Hoyt McCauley. He was preceded in death by his son Foster McCauley Jr. in August 1936, who was killed in a truck accident.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Louise Dickey McCauley, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Machim of East Liverpool and Mrs. June Culp of Highlandtown; three brothers, Sam McCauley of Wellsville, George McCauley of St. Petersburg, Florida., and Charles McCauley of Parkersburg, West Virginia.; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Stephens of Congo, five grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Foster married Emma Louise DICKEY, daughter of James S. DICKEY and Louisa Belle POWELL, on Nov 26 1912 in Methodist Episcopal, Newell, Hancock, Wv. Her husband, Clarence "Whitey" Machin, died December 4, 1987. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Blaine (June) Culp of Highlandtown; and five nieces.
				Margaret married Clarence MACHIM "Whitey", son of Calel MACHIM and Mary Ann BADGELY, on Jun 19 1935. Whitey was born on Dec 11 1911 in East Liverpool, Columbaina, Oh. He died on Dec 4 1987 in East Liverpool, Columbaina, Oh and was buried on Dec 7 1987 in Spring Hill Cemetery, Wellsville, Columbiana, Ohio. DEATH: Obituary: East Liverpool Review, December 6, 1987 Clarence R. Machin, 75, of Baxter St., East Liverpool was dead on arrival at city Hospital at 1 pm Friday. He had been ill for more than six years. He was born in East Liverpool December 11, 1911, a son of Calel Machin and Mary Ann Badgely Machin. Machin had been employed as a warehouseman at the Homer Laughlin China Co., No. 7, retiring in 1976. He attended St. Stephens Episcopal Church and was a member of the Glass Pottery, Plastics and Allied Workers Union. Survivors include his wife, the former Margaret McCauley, whom he married 19 June 1935 in New Cumberland and a brother, James Machin of Florida. Funeral services are to be conducted at 1 pm Monday at the Martin Funeral Home by the Rev. Paul Heckters of the St. Stephens Episcopal Church. Burial will be at Spring Hill Cemetery in Wellsville. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday afternoon and evening.

He had lived in Wellsville eight years, moving there from Newell and was employed by the Rosenberger Dairy Co.,. several weeks ago.
