DEATH: Obituary - BYESVILLE---Jan. 4, 1940---Mrs. Alena I. Yoho, wife of Homer Yoho, died Wednesday evening at the home on R.D. 1 Byesville, following lingering illness. She was a daughter of J. P. and Rebecca Smith, Marietta.
Surviving are her husband; two children, Bernice of the home, and Herbert, Tulsa, Okla., and two brothers, Albert Smith, Marietta, and Clayton Smith, Reno, O.
Brief funeral services will be held at 9:30 A.M. Saturday morning at the home with additional rites at 12:30 P.M. at the McClure Funeral Home, Marietta. Interment will be made in Valley Cemetery, Washington County. Rev. H. W. Hales, Pleasant City, and Rev. M. R. Yoho, Byesville, will conduct the services. Alexander McCauley, 95, retired farmer, died Monday night in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Margaret Stephens, in Congo, WV.
Mr. McCauley, born in Ireland, lived the last 20 years in Congo.
Besides Mrs. Stephens, he leaves eight sons, William McCauley of Congo; Samuel A. and Foster McCauley of Wellsville; John J. McCauley of Preson County, WV, Albert McCauley of Parkersburg WV; Charles McCauley of new Brighton, PA; Everett McCauley of Canton and George B. McCauley of Chester, 40 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held in the Stephens home Thursday at 1:30 pm in charge of Rev. C.C. Shafer, pastor of the Nevell Nazarene church. Burial will be made in Spring Hill Cemetery, Wellsville.
