Also their favorite Lawyers were at the meeting again to give away Sox tickets and little flashlights. We don’t need to waste our time with these kinds of Lawyers. Why don’t they have our Lawyer tell us how negotiations are going with our contracts instead!
The meeting only lasted about 20 minutes, but before any members could say anything they had their guy in the front row motion to adjourn the meeting. Thank God the rest of the members said “No!” But it wound up being a waste of the membership’s time anyway.
Just a reminder, October 17, 2007 is going to be nominations night! That’s right just 4 months until nominations and 5 months until elections. Only 6 months until the FIGHTING FOR THE FUTURE SLATE becomes your next Executive Board!!!! The positive changes will begin then. The members will have the control back of their own Local after 12+ years of dictatorship!!!
