|| BUNKER-RAMA!

We now have a real concrete bunker at the Rensselaer, IN battle site. We loosely based it off of many of the smaller defense bunkers on the Atlantic Wall, but also seen all over the Eastern front. It's not quite done yet inside, but here's the major features:
> 25cm thick walls poured out of one piece (forms), 3.7 x 5.3m inside.
> Earth-bermed, 1m deep and into the side of a small mound.
> 2 large visor ports, complete with stepped shot-traps.
> Rear entrance with steps down into the bunker, protected by a small firing port and a grenade sump.
> Complete ventilation and provision for future features such as wood stove, generator, and phone lines.
Stahlhelms off to the area members of 2.Panzer for some of the preparetory work, and most of all, Dr. Neal Haskell (site owner) for accomodationg such an undertaking! We hope that many of you will be able to come out and play to see it and many of the other cool things we have going on up there....

The site owner and associates are brokering WW II armored vehicles at the Rensselaer site... check out Allied Armor for more details.
