| How We Got Started If you're new here, then you don't know it yet, but you're talking to the first person you've met that can neigh like a real horse...no...I'm not kidding (loves talking to her horses). I've been horse crazy since I was born and loved imitating them...the love of horses is what started the foundation for this farm. Getting my first miniature horse of 6 months old, Cowboy, in 1999, my true desire to start a horse business didn't really start until my second horse and first mare came along, Missy, in late 2000. Like everyone always says, "Horses are like chips...you can't have just one." With the new idea in mind and plenty of time to plan it out waiting for my stallion to turn breeding age, I soon made looking around for new mares to add to the herd my almost lifetime hobby. Pinto coloration was the first coloration this farm strived for, but before we could even get any babies from Cowboy, he passed away due to unknown causes on Wednesday, 1:20 am, Dec. 10th, 2003. This site, farm, and the continuing of it's growth is all dedicated to that little stallion. With the only pinto stallion I had, gone, I decided I would breed for the dilute colorings, my most favorite colors in the horse world, and although it's taken this young breeder a few years to find the mares to get started, that I hope will produce the dilutes I'm striving for, it was well worth the wait for me and for the people who'll share in the same passion about the beautiful colors as I do. We've been in business for 8 years now, but we're only just getting started with our first wave of foals on the way and expecting many more years of foals to come. Quality and NOT quantity is first priority here at the farm. |
