Part I. This adventure is my friendship with the Lord Jesus Christ.  Although many mistake Him to be merely the focal point of Christianity, He is much more than that.
He is Creator and Lord and the real reason the planets and earth's resources still survive despite man's selfish attempts to gorge himself on what God has so generously given.
But Jesus being the Sustainer of Planet Earth and Chief Ecologist is not what this page is about either.
By entering this page, you have agreed to hear about the most awesome adventure of my life.  It has several parts...

Part II.  The focus of this page has more to do with Jesus coming to earth as a man.  You see when man thought He had God figured out, he was pretty sure that religion (full of rules and rituals and complicated laws) was the endpoint of his search for God.  So Jesus came, as a man, but still He was really God.  He came because He realized man was getting way off base.  It was time to show what God really is like.  The Bible writers call this section the Gospel.  It means Good News.  You can probably guess why.
Part III.  Guess what?  We still haven't gotten to the real thing I've been driving at.  What I will tell you is my own personal history with this God/Man Jesus Christ.  I met Him when I was young.  I was in my twenties.  Oh, I am not saying I had never heard of Him.  In fact, I had spent my whole life going to church each week.  I had even memorized alot of the Bible.  I had gone to Christian schools, Christian college.  I even worked in a Christian Hospital when I finished nursing school.  I thought I had the whole Christian thing figured out.

Until one day, my best friend, Karen, showed me that Jesus wanted to be my best friend.  I don't remember praying any special prayer. I just remember realizing and feeling like I had just been introduced to the most awesome Person I'd ever known.  MORE see next panel...

Part IV. My Conclusion

My final topic is so exciting that even the angels in heaven are amazed at it.  They watch a loving God excitedly stretching to hear our songs.  They are eager to look over His shoulder as He reads our poetry or oohs at our art.  All of heaven staggers under the incredible wonder:  God so loves us.  Me and you.  I believe that each of us were created for one redemptive purpose: to love God and to learn how very much He loves us.  In other words, I believe we were destined to have Friendship with God.
The Bible speaks of this friendship using terms that imply familial ties or labor relations.  We are His children and we are His servants.  But the ultimate reality, the focus of all eternity, the very axis around which all eternity revolves is God reaching down to love us intimately.  The plan of salvation is merely all the hassle He had to go through to get what His Heart has longed for:  A Bridegroom looking for His Bride.  God's plan is perfect and in balance.  It is also logical and it makes sense to enter into this friendship.  When you choose to love God back, you will become more like the you that you always wondered about.

You will enter into that for which you were destined,  indeed, that which for which you were created.

This friendship is personal and private, but it can only be made real in a community of believers: a church that will love you unconditionally while challenging you unapolegetically!
