�This was an important episode for Vanessa because this really is her own story. She�s in this solo, and she�s running with it, and she�s our new CSI on the team. So she�s kinda doing her thing.� - Initial scene in the alley. �Yeah! Take that pal! She�s all about business.� - after Aiden's line �Do me a favor? Don't check out my ass when a kid is dead in the street. Have some respect.� �In the Anthony Zuiker school of honesty�Vanessa, her hand touching that hot oven, probably not the right thing to do. So we were like �Oh no! She can't touch the oven with gloves on! She would burn herself!� so we just�the things we don�t catch. Sometimes it happens�� - On the Pizza oven scene. �This is really the first gut-check for the character, Aiden Burn.� - On the approach of the 'goombah' Vicenzo . �Here she comes, she's armed with courage from Mac Taylor.� - On Aiden's second walk in. �Aiden there set the bear trap and lied about the stabbing to get him to volunteer to just the head trauma.� - after legally lying to Vicenzo. �Good for you, Vanessa. God bless you.� - After her smirk to Vicenzo after closing the case. 'Recycling' - [1.12] Commentary with Timothy J. Lea and Zachary Reiter, writers �Aiden with the save � she�s great. Vanessa Ferlito � is a really good actor she really just�� - Aiden showing up with the knitting bag . �Another montage�Vanessa at the microscope.� �I always liked that. I thought that was a subtle innuendo there about one reason 'I can�t own a dog is having dog hair all over me', I thought there was a little something underneath it.� - after Aiden saying she could never own a dog �That�s great, Vanessa really caught this scene �you know I�m done dealing with all these crazy dog people�. She just sort of stands there, it just gets sort of wackier and wackier� - Aiden looking bored with the Dog Show . �And Aiden here with the dog, like, sniffing her leg, we, like, sprayed her leg with some kind of meat smelling stuff and the dog was just going nuts.� �The look on her face there is fantastic, the dog was actually going at her leg� �Well we were actually not permitted to go the whole nine yards, being the appropriate expression, but I feel the message got across� �Actually I had a line in there where she was going to wipe her leg and look at her hand and go �Why do they do that� but we couldn�t� - Aiden being mauled by a dog . �I like it when we get little personal moments like that � the smile � a little something like something going on between the actors� - Aiden smiling at Mac. �Vanessa plays this really well, she�s just sick of this whole thing, this whole 'wow' these people are just too crazy for her� - Aiden interrogating the killer. |
